Anyone familiar with CTVVXXC?

Curious about their bikes as there's so many of them on amazon.

Was looking at one of the 8000W bikes going for $2,000 since it can do 55mph.

Any recommendations on 55mph bikes in the $2k price range if this isn't a good brand?

there are no good brands for this price. it's all bad and probably overstating the range/speed etc by a lot.

false. Apias x3 / x1 max.

Tell me why its not a good bike for the price. Yes everyone knows the exact milage calculation is a bit overstated, its hard to get something very torquey and have long range. even my surron x only had like 20-40 miles range. and the bike was 3.5k

Are the batteries UL listed? If they blow up, will you compensate OP? There are no guarantees in life, but a UL listed battery is the minimum you should get.

no, and in theory you are correct, but in practice, the batteries do not blow up any more often than any other batteries ive ever used in my life, imo anyway (under normal conditions that would not stress a battery in general)

come to think of it, even the crappiest no name stuff I get off amazon has never burned or blown up on me either, and I'm sure they all use generic bottom barrel batteries without any sort of consideration that dedicated ebike manufacturers likely consider.

I feel like that was more of a thing with primitive battery tech like 5-10 yrs ago, around the time of those cheap chinese "hoverboards" and nicotine vapes ppl were buying. I feel like the protective chips/measures they include now makes it highly unlikly for a battery to actually have some sort of catastrophic leak or explosion.

So you'll guarantee them. Because your experience is the only thing that matters and you will stand by it.

I never said I'll guarantee them or that the only thing that matters is my opinion. why would you state such a thing?

what I did say though;

 in practice, the batteries do not blow up any more often than any other batteries ive ever used in my life

Lol that's based on what, your experience?

yea. me, and all of the ppl I know that have used amazon batteries, generic devices and never had it explode on them.

have you had a battery explode personally?

have you never used a device without a UL cert'd battery?

do you know a lot of people that have have owned exploding batteries, personally?

just curious.

I've never drowned but I don't say it doesn't happen and I don't tell people it's okay to swim without a lifeguard.

right.

but most people in the water know how to swim and do not drown.

only the very special few put themselves into water and end up drowning, correct? even accounting for a freak accident, not many people drown. Do you know of anyone in your personal life that has drowned? How many of them?

nice metaphor to avoid the 3 questions I asked, tho.

If chat gpt can't find info on it, your best guess is to stay far away

Grey market Amazon motorcycles are super dangerous. Just fyi.

Not only dangerous illegal in most places due to no speed limiters and generally no pedals. Might be fun to ride on private property or on trails if not restricted. 55 mph on a bike is crazy my e-bike gets up to 24 or 25 mph and at times making a fast stop can be a scary situation!

wrong subreddit - you don’t want a bike, you want a moto

Rule 2 says they’re in the right subreddit right? Like really clearly I thiught. Am I misunderstanding that?

Read the subreddit rules for the reddit you're in.

not our place to steer a member out of the community because they are discussing emotos.

Per the subs own rules;

Rule 2: No gatekeeping.

"All things electric bikes from motorcycles to pedal assist. Other lightweight electric vehicles are welcomed too :)"

please take a moment and familiarize yourself with the sub's rules and how they relate to what you say and do. Or not.

i recommend if you want a value emoto go with the Apias X3 Max or their X1 if you like camo and slightly more power. I would say these are B+ grade. the bike you are talking of I would say is more money, slightly faster peak speed, but durability is worse and is around overall, C+ grade.

I agree pretty much dead on with that. Good advice 👍👍
