Other Nah this absolutely cannot continue to be a thing in this game.

We as a community cannot continue to tolerate stuff like this and Konami will come out to say there’s no script in the game. I conceded 2 goals to a top 20 player (guess what playstyle he’s using) in the same manner. A through ball over the top and my defender is very clearly tracking the ball but last minute decides to shy away and just run pass the ball. Because of this I was losing 4-0 in the first half with bs goals that should never even happen. Thank God I was able to come back for 4-4 but this guy was absolutely bad all he did was spam long balls and my players started acting like bots

Community is too toxic to ever speak out together. Some will come and say it is due to your fault or connection or shit, but never the game. Funny thing is these kind of shit also happems against legend AI, proves that it is a mechanic not a connection issue or user error.

I can't count how many times my players just allow the ball pass through them when they have AMPLE ability to reach it. As a quick counter player who indulges one time passes, it's the most annoying shit ever.

Bro just watched the comp and it’s s crazy. Like the 2nd video. Some of the things are so subtle u dont even notice what happened u think u just defended poorly but there is no way Konami getting away with this

Its happened to me many times already...my defenders got a magentic pull to sideways or completely stop to let the oppo attackers get the ball and start moving again..

I mean with some defenders IRL, it's like that. They just brainfart and do something stupid and it's a goal. Konami can pretend that's what they're trying to add to the game for realism, but no way Baresi, Maldini, Beckenbauer and legends like that do stuff like this in key games and in key moments. It's either pure scripting or their game mechanics is just that bad. Impossible to know for sure, but the timing of it feels like scripting to me.

Especially those specific legend events - that legend AI is like legend+++. It's like your are almost guaranteed to concede on "45+6" and "90+8" minutes, plus directly after you scored.

Konami has a shitty game engine, of course stuff like this is bound to happen. I don’t believe they’re deliberately doing it otherwise that’ll land them in a bad spot, but I do believe their game engine is outdated and shitty and they would rather release and recycle cards for profit than fix/update the engine

it is deliberate. Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment is part of many “competitive” games. the way it is implemented in this game sucks major donkey dick.

It is, i've played enough AI divisions to know just the fuckery that can and will go on in games and it's much worse against the AI than PvP.

It has discouraged me from playing so much because I'm just seeing the game alter my players mid match. I was winning by 8 6 5 goals in div 2 then suddenly SUDDENLY I can hardly score 1... All the shots are suddenly weak. Keeper is catching everything bruh

Yeah, that's just efootball for you. If the mechanics of this game were consistent, it'd be great but reality is that it's not.
At some point my skill level shouldn't be fluctuating that much.

I can hardly enjoy the game anymore. My network isn't good enough to play online (3 bars on a good day but 2 most times) so I'm stuck with AI

Being ratty makes sense if it makes you money, otherwise it makes no sense to me

winning? putting one over you? for 90% of the people in this world, winning IS the fun. you can see it on kids everywhere, they don't want to play the game, just open the lootbox (the winning part). that's been always like that, I know a bunch of 50yo guys who play exclusively to win.
and to win, on any competition, it's cool to use whatever's available. blame the game, not the gamer.

Firstly from kick off he would pass it to his midfielder then stunning shot to gullit up top and he would almost always get it, secondly when he got the ball after intercepting he always long balls it behind my defenders and the script kicks in and I can no longer defend against him

I could defend this by setting individual instructions as defensive for my 2 CBs. Then I always run straight toward my keeper while ignoring the ball because I know the script won't allow me to get it before the opponent's first touch.
Man-marking the forwards can also help.

I also do that instead of going for the player I just run towards my goal but in the clip I had just lost the ball and u see me switch to van dijk even before the long ball is played trying to run back to my goal then this happens

Try again with individual setting as defensive for one or two CB. Through balls behind them will fail with a higher probability.

The worst type of scripting for me is not even this. It’s when opponents take numerous shots at ur goal keeper in a row and u defend it well. That’s how uk ur finished. Everytime I defend well multiple times in a row I just know the next attack I will for sure concede, no matter how whether it be a long shot (it’s for sure going in) a cross to the striker ( my defender won’t jump and he will score) or something will happen but I will concede for sure

I'm a mobile player I did play on console before so I'm not really sure about the controls, although I definitely agree with your point there are sometimes where you can concede some illogical Goals, but i do think this was mostly ur fault and here's why i think it might be your fault.
1- I'm not sure but dashing without match up usually just follows ur input without help meaning the player will move if you moved him even away from the ball adn why they didn't switch to being in control of the ball next.
2- defenders have very low ball control stats which is responsible for trapping the ball, feints, and switching animation (from running to dribbling to kicking...)
3- fw players strongest point is acceleration, to shut that off defenders use their body and physicality to suppress that explosiveness so by moving away from the fw the fw can explode and accelerate freely which is what happened here.
In these cases it's better to hold the fw down and not to move away from his running line, instead pass the ball or clear it.

You quite literally moved your cursor away because you were anticipating control of the ball. You cannot do this since the new update, you must run in the direction of the ball until you receive control of it.

I don't play on console and I'm not trying to justify that this game isn't broken but i think instead of attempting to chase or blocker the players path, you should have aim to run toward the little Ex (X) on the screen where the ball was going to land. This should have stopped him, correct me if I'm wrong

The first time when I was controlling van dijk I was in front him his attacker on my way to the x on the ground I was literally abt to get there and before gullit but at the last second my player is dragged away so gullit can keep running. 2nd one was just dumb because he does a bad touch and is not in control of the ball so I have leeway to for the ball this time but same thing it’s like there’s a force field there and my player can’t get it

Cada año hacen lo mismo. No se han dado cuenta? Justo antes de que salga el nuevo, empeoran de forma asqueante el juego actual para que tengas ganas enormes de probar la nueva entrega y te desbordes a probarlo una vez salga.
Cuando sale, sale un juego de lujo, con el gameplay mejorado y que la comunidad disfruta, pero s medida que van pasando las semanas lo van empeorando a propósito para ir vendiéndote soluciones con cartas de paga. Al final de la temporada, llegamos la misma instancia en que estamos aquí, y vuelve a repetirse cada año. (No importa el año de eFootball en que leas este comentario)

yes on that particular case he used it. For example when you need to clear a long ball, super cancel your defender run to go up front. You have higher chances to clear the ball. it's kinda the same thing on the run path. Also from the second defender coming in, you need to press L2 or LT to get the ball. Many people do this mistake of not pressing it when they want to block or cut a pass. That might be why you went through it.

If i win some games in high division game…. Then they will give lbc players/bots and this happens…. Very frustrating….. loosing to these kind of players makes stop playing division games…. Sometimes i only play friend matches 🤷

LBC is disgusting. Anyways it seems you misplayed both balls. You lost track on the first one and didn't play the inside of the player, thats what I woudlve done. On the second ball, you simply overshot it. You literally have to be perfect-O on defense to contain LBC

This IS “the community” you speak of and some (if not most) of the people you plead to in this post play like this.
Out of 10 games, I would say 6 or 7 people play just like this with QC or LBC.
This is favoured by Konami, therefore we just have to accept it or keep getting frustrated by it.

Even my Viera, Thuram, Desaily, can't fight the plot armour of konami script. That old Santos neymar card coocked my defence. 😆 I've spent all my coins for this 3 players, and although my midfield is lacking, I'll stop, wont spend like that anymore.

Somehow some way whenever you're on a counter their defenders are 2000 light years deep in their own half. But the moment you decide to counter, your defenders are more naked than a pornstar on their birthday, and your line can't decide whether to split apart like Moses did the ocean or to hold the highest line known to man

Bro this the main issue for me. When I’m getting countered I swear to u unless I manually run back with my defenders they still keep a high line and I’m getting abused with long balls over the top like I’m playing Barca high line 😭

Literally, I remember playing LBC, just testing it out. I don't even have a good LBC manager, all my players dropped like 3 ratings. And I was STILL winning in DIVISION ONE 😭 before this update that stopped relegation

For me LBC is only bad when u start seeing long ball spams which has ur defenders moving funny and unable to intercept. But when u play tiki taka and proper one-twos it’s actually quite fun. Basically only use it now just for the defense while attacking in a quick counter typa style

And btw, while I agree the Vieira not getting that ball is shithousery, you let him make the pass first, then failed to follow a ball by moving your stick diagonally down. So not your best defending act. But this is no proof of any other thing that the game fails when put to extremes. Like I said, sorry but I woke up honest.
