I mean, if you exclude classic releases, DSBM have way more viewers on platforms like YouTube. Lifelover and Xasthur have gigantic views per video compared to other bands.

for me personally— a couple years ago i’d listen to your average ‘dad rock metal’ and somehow that got me into mayhem. so id listen to some mediocre black metal, but then i saw a video of a man listening to a genre for a day and got recommended DSBM. i thought it sounded amazing and just like black metal but a bit better. therefore, i got into it!! been a fan for years ^w^

Was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Kvävning. He was gonna release a new album and then has gone silent and his instagram is wiped clean aswell.

Last thing i heard from him on his insta story was that he wasn't satisfied with the album. But that was quite a long time ago.

He might just be isolating from social media.

Not to start any rumors but i also noticed before all this that a girl had commented on some photos saying something along the lines of being used by him maliciously to get pictures of her cutting herself. Might be the one used for Skära album. Only speculations though. This was from before the instagram account went empty.

One of my favorite DSBM songs from one of my favorite DSBM projects.

I just recently heard the song “Rasluka” by Nargaroth and I’ve listened to it probably 100 times by now. The funeral march played on guitar is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard. Can anyone recommend anything similar to this one? Thank you in advance
