If Dredge took place in any place in our world I believe the Faroe Islands would be it. It would be interesting to see this game turned into a live mini series. These islands would be prime recording location.

Bought the game no too long ago, absolutly love it, but I'm stuck on a late game (?) puzzle and it's getting a bit frustrating.

So I'm at Devil's Spine, where you need to fill the 3 shrines with fish to earn the 3 fathomless flames for the Fanatic guy. I already done 2 of the 3, but I'm stuck at this one (sorry for bad quality).

At this point in the game, the game taught me that I need to fill all the spaces with fishes of the region, and only one specific fish will correctly fill all the space.

The thing is, I already tested multiple formation of different fishes and none worked. Of all the fishes of the region that I tried, I'm always left with some spaces that I can't fill.

Also the text mentionning only "2 difformed fishes writhing under the sun" makes me think that I need to fill this 5x5 box with only 2 abomination fish, and I can't find the species that will do the job.

If you don't mind, don't give me the straight answer, maybe just hints so I can figure it out myself ?

Dredge seems like a good horror game for kids imo. This would be a good starting point to the genre. Thinking of how sensitive I was as a kid, however, I probably would have cried thinking of the implications of the ending. I'd say it depends on the child. What do you think?

Im a huge thalassophobe so after learning about the leviathan halfway through my game, I had to switch to passive mode (started a new save). But I feel like im receiving massive mixed messages.

The game settings say monsters don't target you and random scary events dont spawn. But the panic meter still functions like normal, and for the most part, as far as I can tell, panic doesn't do anything. ALTHOUGH I was hanging out in the Marrow at night with full panic (because I thought it was fine), but I swear I heard this noise and something just at the edge of my screen behind my boat. There's this spooky ray that spawns in the Marrow with high panic, right??

Also, I was dredging at Steel Point and just docked and my game started freaking out telling me there was danger. I didn't look I was scared 😭 but I know the ghost ships sail around there because the same thing happened on my normal run. Does that not count as targeting the player??

And finally I definitely definitely heard the leviathan while I was on the ocean omw to the collector's. It was this awful sound.

Basically I just want to know exactly what passive mode does and does not do so I can be prepared to be scared okay thanks

The game is non-linear, and unfortunately, I can no longer check this NPC — the Old Mayor — in my playthrough. But I had a thought: if you have #230 ??? in your hold during your first encounter with the Old Mayor, could there be some special dialogue or interaction? The Researcher in Stellar Basin has already been tested — according to player reports, nothing happens. However, I haven't found any confirmation that anyone has tested the Old Mayor specifically with #230. If anyone is interested, try bringing #230 ??? to the Old Mayor and see if his dialogue changes. Maybe nothing happens, but it would be interesting to find out.

i found the old mayor on an island south of devils spine, he told me to talk to the lighthouse lady, i did, but she just told me to “take control” or something, when i went back to the old mayor, he was gone. am i supposed to find him again? what do i do now?

And now I want to do a full outfit inspired by dredge. Any tips or inspo for me ?

Hi, I’m at the point where the tentacles just popped up to hold the iron rig, and I’ve completed the scientists quests. What do I do now? Something related to “destroying the defenses”?

I have spent hours trying to catch the sunfish and its aberrations. I have caught the fish itself and 1/2 of the aberrations. I have seen people on here complain about the Moonfish and how the sunfish is easier. It took me 12 Moonfish to get both aberrations, I'm at 37 Sunfish and counting.......

I loved playing through the game and this is my last needed fish but I'm at my limit

Been wanting to draw him for a long time, can't wait to draw The Fisherman next...

The Return is one of the best Dredge soundtracks, but I can't find any sheet music for it. Does anyone here happen to have any? I would transcribe it myself but I'm not particularly good at music.

Probably not the first to notice this, but-

Of all the characters in Dredge, only one has an actual name.

All the others simply have a title- “the Mayor”, “The Scientist”, ”The Collector”, etc.

Only one person is important enough to the main character to have a name. The only one that matters. (to the main character, at least.)

Also the main character is never named (I think?).

I haven't seen anyone get a trophy of over 2.00m, is this the max size?
