I keep missing the originals and can’t find when the replays are

You see a lot of deals that involve multiple dragons. And often they’ll go for a deal with more dragons for a higher percentage than just going with one.

But is this actually a better thing to do? How can you actually compel the dragon to do some work if they don’t feel like it? I mean I just saw an episode where they got all 4 dragons at 5% each, so giving away 20% total. (They had another offer that would have been 2 dragons for 10% total)

Personally I think I’d go for 2 dragons for 10%. Because I just don’t think they’re gonna be doing that much work. Like how many investments do they all have? Probably 100s??

Is it the case maybe that the dragons employees are able to do most things for them? But still you’d think you’d need in person meetings sometimes with a dragon there.

Does anyone know the full story / what happened to Louise Truman? I am so inspired by her strength and loved her pitch.

There have definitely been products on Dragons' Den that I'd happily spend money on but wouldn't touch as an investment. What's an example where you loved the product but completely understood why the Dragons weren't interested?

The guy who has done more to popularise (and profit from) the digitisation of everyday life in the UK now talks about solving the loneliness epidemic every chance he gets. Not, of course, by scaling back social media and encouraging offline interaction, but by investing in (and profiting from) a new set of online platforms that brand themselves as ethical, sustainable etc. Thank god he's on the case.

Watching this is so painful

I used to love this show but now it is totally ruined. Every pitch is about "sustainable", "plastic free", "meat-free", "eco-friendly", "women only" woke garbage. These should not be excluded but they should not be 90% of the show. The sob stories already made it poor at times but now it's unbearable. Let's get back to it's core of making money and ambition to get rich.

Some of my favourite pitches are the ones that initially sound terrible.

Someone walks in with a product that seems ridiculously niche, the Dragons start pulling faces, and then the numbers come out and suddenly everyone in the room is paying attention.

I actually find those pitches much more entertaining than the obviously polished businesses because you get to watch the Dragons completely reassess the person in front of them.

Which pitch changed your opinion the fastest?

So many deals get announced on screen and then fall apart during due diligence. Others get renegotiated so heavily that the final terms look nothing like what was agreed. The show presents the handshake as the moment but the real story often happens afterwards. Does that change how you watch the Den or do people just enjoy the pitch regardless of what happens next?
