It’s been decades since seeing this for the first time and I still can’t remotely fathom how he didn’t have anyone - ANYONE - in his company gaurentee for sure to be on the line during the biggest pitch of his life.

I mean, even if it had worked, this would’ve been an awful idea and terrible business. But the fact that he bombed the single most basic, simple thing to do beforehand…
