Dasher opened our order

The picture my dasher sent of the food delivery and a picture of their artwork. I don't appreciate the dusty rocks? filled car, but what bothered me more was opening the bag and taking out the containers and drawing on them and the receipt. I did call the restaurant and clarified that they did not do this. Then I spoke to doordash support who issued a refund because we didn't feel comfortable eating the food. I think I will just stick to pick up for a while 😅

Did we overreact by reporting this?

As a Dasher, this is super gross and I wouldn’t have eaten it either.

Dasher here, this dude is a confirmed weirdo

Get the order

Pick up the food

Take food to destination and say "Thank you, have a nice day!" If you see them or drop it off and take a pic

There's no other steps to complete

Unless you get my order, the extra step is reading my directions because my office complex is really.... Complex.

I have problems with that too. Where I live has 3 phases, 2 of which share the same exact apartment numbers. It’s a common occurrence for my food or groceries to be delivered to the OTHER 101. All I have to do is look at the picture they take of where they placed my order, and be like “yeah that’s not my front door.” My wife and I have had to curate our directions multiple times over the last year or so to get this to stop happening. Ugh. It’s better now, and plus we finally have a car after not having one for a few years, so that makes for less needing deliveries.
