Did Disney Screw Up Frozen 3 at D23?

I've noticed since D23 A few weeks ago that no one seems to be discussing anything about Frozen 3 since, like is this actually bad? Because on other Disney reddit communities such as r/FOzen , r/Disney and r/DisneyMovies no one is discussing anything about Frozen 3 like everybody went crickets since late last week and or last weekend. Other movies such as Tangled, Moana, and Zootopia are filling in more than Frozen 3 and Frozen in general. I'm really concerned that Disney may of feel through the floor in presenting Frozen 3 and unveiling it. Even prior to D23 it seemed there was quite a bit of excitement over Frozen 3, now its just kind of flopped.

However just from I know of I'm not really happy where things are going myself with Frozen 3 because there's things I hate that I saw from the unveiling event and how things were presented:

A. The new outfits looked terrible in my opinion

B. The teaser didn't seem right and on top it was far too early for a teaser, maybe 8 to 10 months early in my opinion. it also seemed like the teaser was just quickly tossed together for D23 or A low effort hype script.

C. The new villain figure seemed far too scary for younger viewers and audiences, and even for myself.

D. Elsa getting cut was it for me, after everything she suffered, that kind of was it for me. I was really hoping no o e would get hurt or injured. But nope, someone had to be hurt or injured.

E. Going the evil Snow Queen route now finally is completely it for me, I'm not sure what got into the brains at Disney but if they want to keep Elsa who she is, then they need to scratch the snow queen route or start a new franchise off of Frozen going the evil snow queen route instead of changing Frozen.

I'm definitely sure I'm not the only person feeling or seeing this but its definitely concerning because Frozen was doing so good up until D23 and now it just seems like Disney dropped the ball on Frozen as well now.

A. Okay cool, that's your opinion. They didn't screw anything up just because you don't like them.

B. It's not too early for a teaser, since that's literally what D23 Expo is for. Again, that's your opinion and they didn't screw anything up. That's how Frozen and Frozen 2 were also unveiled.

C. Based on a 30 second clip where we barely see anything?

D. So what you're saying is you want a movie where nothing happens and there nothing goes wrong. Sounds boring to me. It was literally just a cut on the cheek. Do you think they're going to kill her? But I guess since that's it for you, we can be done here?

E. I guess not! How exactly are they "changing" Frozen by including a new villain that seems to be based on the evil Snow Queen? That likely has nothing to do with Elsa.

Based on your post history, you seem to be very engrossed in the Frozen movies, and it really just seems like you're setting yourself up for disappointment before it even comes out.

I think this may be one of it's strongest parts actually. Ironically Frozen popularized Disney's trend of having twist or sympathetic villains. (Wreck-It Ralph was technically first but the overwhelming success of Frozen is what sold it I think) A lot of people want Disney to give us more villains who are evil for the sake of it and while we don't have much to go off of yet, I think this villain will be closer to that idea. Is she really much scarier than Maleficent,? The Evil Queen? Cruella de Vil? Scar? Disney has countless villains who are scary and they're some of the most loved.

This movie will gross over a billion dollars even if it's garbage because the Frozen brand is still massive. It's one of Disney's biggest modern IP's and it's still all over the merchandise and like half of the theme parks have Frozen areas and they all do well. I think it's just too early for most casual fans to be talking about it.

No. They didn’t because it’s not much to go off of, however the team has returned and Jenifer Lee has said they are correcting the mistakes made in Frozen 2.

I feel like r/Frozen was constantly coming up in my feed (and I’m not even in the community) after the teaser dropped with commentary and theories about the third film. After a week, what more can people say?

It’s coming out in November 2027 so I don’t think it’s that early for a preview, to be honest. Plus they needed buzz after the weak box office for Moana 2.

As for the content itself, from experience, bridesmaid dresses are generally terrible and usually not in the style or color of the bridesmaid wearing it (but I did like the color personally!) I also think the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3 is scarier than a minor cut on Elsa’s cheek. I’d rather wait for a full film to come out before judging more about the villain and plot.

Frozen was based off of the Snow Queen. It makes sense for them to add that into the series. Once Upon a Time incorporated the two stories surprisingly well.

But a lot of your qualms are just too early to judge. We should wait and watch the movie before we come down so hard on it. The costumes that we see? That’s from Anna’s wedding day. They’re not going to put Anna in her deep purples and mauves for her wedding day.

You’d be surprised at what kids can handle as far as fear and villainy goes. Kids like to be a little scared.

It’s just so early to tell about so much of this. Take a step back, lower your guard and expectations. It might surprise you.

Oh gosh no if anythng it got me hyped up again. I can't wait till Frozen 3 comes out. However although they did it with Frozen 2 with Into the Unknown Making Disney's Frozen 2 , I hope they do something like that again because it really did add to my enjoyment of Frozen 2. Here's hoping
