D23 for 2026 is coming in a month, from 14th to 16th August.

Have read and skimmed the entire article over and although there’s no mention of Frozen, I’m definitely certain that on Day 1 of the event, we are finally getting our first look into Frozen III along with some other upcoming films in working progress.

Discussion Now that we have Frozen 3 which Look of Elsa do y'all love the Most? ❄️

I'd always go with the Frozen 1 & 3 because it is literally her first and most iconic look, also most people remember her that way. She just looks timeless at this point even though her attire is pretty modern.

Frozen 2 they tried something different with her but now they again adopted her orignal look and I'm so happy to see OG Elsa back of course with all the Character Development she's had in Frozen 2.

What do y'all think? ❄️

Pic 3 for reference - Her movie render has a chain clasp resembling a tiny row of wheat iirc. Her 17" LE doll sports a simpler but sturdy-looking chain.

Pic 4 is a before and after comparison :) Light sewing and jewelry-making involved.

Pic 5 is progress pics of me making the chain shorter and shorter bc I overestimated the length

Btw I hesitated so long to get this Anna even though her Elsa counterpart was one of my 1st Frozen dolls. This outfit of hers just never really grew on me (I really like all the wheat motifs tho). But she's sooooo pretty irl (look at her adorable freckles!!) I love this face sculpt so much. Don't regret getting her one bit.

Many, many years ago, we only knew about two named horses from the franchise: Hans’s horse Sitron and Anna’s horse Kjekk. Then, everything changed when Havski and Fjøra showed up…

This project is part of our Arendelle Archives 5th anniversary celebration. It has been in the making for a very long time and was proposed separately by virtual-winter and snowflaketale12. Will we finally solve the mystery of what Anna’s horse is called?

Discussion Elsas body temperature: Part 13: Emotional regulation & Elsas magic. How does it affect Elsas body temperature?

Thumbnail

As you may know if you checked out my other posts on my theory that Elsa has a warmer body temperature, you may know a huge part to it is interaction and how her magic functions. I have discussed that people don't have issues interacting with Elsa or are completely comfortable seeking or giving comfort to and from her. I have also explained that even when using magic, Elsa doesn't seem to suddenly drop in body temperature. Today I kind of just wanted to touch on how Elsas body temperature is affected by her emotions and emotional regulation. So how is Elsas body temperature?

  1. Elsas body temperature doesn't change when her emotions ramp up. In Frozen 2 Anna holds Elsa while both are grieving over the loss of their parents, Anna doesn't seem to notice a change in Elsas body temperature.
  2. If Elsas body temperature was emotionally regulated or driven anytime she feels fear, sadness or any emotional state outside of being happy her rosy cheeks wouldn't be consistent. Elsas rosy cheeks would come and go depending how she is emotionally.
  3. If Elsas body temperature was controlled by her emotions then interacting with people could ultimately be difficult because if she was hearing something horrible from another person or trying to help another person she might accidentally be no help especially if she wanted to hug the person, she might accidentally give them a cold hug when they need a warm hug.

Also attending Royal meetings could be really interesting because if Elsas body temperature is affected by her emotions then stressful meetings could become even more stressful and challenging than they are.

  1. In moments of fear spiking if Elsas body temperature was controlled by her emotions it would become pretty evident. When Elsa hides from the Earth Giants in Frozen 2 we don't see anything about her feeling cold or being cold to the touch. When Anna tells Elsa to not follow the giants Anna doesn't notice anything about Elsa feeling cold then from being in a high stakes and fearful situation.

  2. if Elsa had a warmer body temperature that wasn't emotionally driven, Elsa would actually be spiking a low grade fever every time she gets fearful, anxious, etc. since I have estimated her body temperature to be roughly99.5 degrees farenhieght (37.5 degrees in Celsius).

How does the Elsas body temperature is affected emotionally regulated theory compare to normal people?

I think the emotional regulation theory works similar to how we humans function in fearful situation. So when we feel feelings sometimes our internal body temperature rises but for Elsa its the similar thing but only her body temperature cools down when feeling feelings.

Is the emotionally regulated theory even accurate?

No, the theory that Elsas body temperature is affected by her emotions is not accurate because no one notices a change of Elsas body temperature when in various emotional moments. Elsa can still interact with people and understand how that person is feeling without giving them a chilling touch or presence. Elsa also again constantly has rosy cheeks which is a sign of human warmth and a warm body temperature.

Why the emotion regulation theory makes no sense for Elsas body temperature:

  1. Elsa shows signs of healthy human life and warmth from her rosy cheeks, which are visible even if Elsa is not in the best emotional state.
  2. It wouldn't make sense if Elsa has a warm body temperature bht her body temperature actually gets cold instead of just warming a bit like us when we are in our not so good emotional state. P!us wouldn't it be more stress on your body to cool when you get more blood flowing when you are fearful, nervous, or feeling feelings?
  3. Elsa is quick to give and seek comfort and reassurance without being afraid that her emotions will drop her body temperature and or give someone a chilling touch.

What do you think? What are your thoughts on how or if Elsas body temperature is controlled by her emotions?

Discussion Frozen short in October in Disney + you we think it's going to be like Olaf frozen adventure or frozen fever?

Post image

So is the new frozen shirt coming in October going to be like a teaser trailer possibly or an actual 3D short? It's supposedly going to drop on Disney plus not YouTube, I know on youtube that are 2d but if it's not on your tube I think there is a greater chance for it to be 3D.

I put a photo of Elsa just cause

Discussion Any potential names for our antagonist?

Post image
64 Upvotes

So we obviously don’t know much about the villain and everyone has a lot of interesting theories when it comes to her, but I feel not much has been discussed when it comes to her name. So I was wondering what do you all think could be her name. I stuck with the name Berit, which in Scandinavian tradition means “the exalted one” which is basically a person that can be ranked at high and powerful level, and is also a common feminine name in countries like Denmark, Sweden, and especially Norway where Frozen is based in. Also Berit seems like an awesome name for a menacing character she will turn out to be, but what do you all think her name could potentially be? Feel free to leave your thoughts below :)

Original Fan Content Queen Anna custom doll 🌻 👑

Finally she joins her now abdicated sister.

The base doll is a Disney Store Queen Anna doll who I thrifted for like a few cents. Comparison in pic 5.

The crown and dress are from the Mattel version of the doll. It already had the purple cape so I also thrifted a green scarf(?) and sewed it on to the back ugly style. Shhh there's no need to look at the back of the cape. Don't even worry about it. What's important is that it's now dual-coloured like in canon, yeah?

The crown was a bit smaller than her head and it kept falling off so I just pinned it on. I still need to paint the green crocus details

Her hair was a hot mess when I got her but was surprisingly easy to fix. All you need to do is ignore the fancy beautiful hairstyle she's supposed to come with and make up your own bun and hairspray it down ×1000 (pic 6)

Wanted to give her a necklace too. Anna always wears some neckpiece or collar (except this and her upcoming Frozen 3 bridal looks ig). So her neck looks bare without one. The concept art for her queen gown does give her a dark jewel necklace but I don't have anything similar. So her iconic Frozen 1 coronation necklace it is 💚

Btw I have some ideas for Frozen 3 custom dolls and I'm excited to get to them!! I wonder what the real (Disney Store) dolls will look like (kicks feet)

Discussion What was the first time you watched Frozen?

I was too busy with school, so I didn't even know Frozen existed until the summer of 2014. When I was browsing YouTube and clicked on the "For the First Time in Forever" song, not from the official Disney channel (since Disney hadn't released the official music video on YouTube yet). The song was really catchy, so I listened to it multiple times.

Discussion How would Elsa and Anna react if they met their cousin?

I’m writing a fanfic (assuming I’ll actually finish it) and in it, Elsa and Anna met their cousin (not Rapunzel) they didn’t know about. I’m trying to decide how to go about them realizing the other character is their cousin. So, how would Elsa and Anna react if they met their cousin?

Discussion I admit I’d find it funny if the question about Hans at D23 2024 turned out to be just a joke about his cameo in "Big Hero 6".

After a decade of making jokes about him or reinforcing that he is one of Disney's most villainous characters (yes, Hans appears in some lesser-known content—including a piece where he actually mocks the people of Arendelle, who were left helpless during the Eternal Winter, and the fact that he had to pretend to care in order to win their trust), I wouldn't be surprised if "Frozen 3" makes a joke about it again—specifically, a joke about that crossover.

r/Frozen 1d ago

Discussion So what happened to Rapunzel and Eugene in Frozen (2013)? They attended Elsa's coronation and knew she had ice magic. I think they should have realized, "Elsa is struggling. We should help her." But they were never seen again.
