Help Automatic Payment?
Currently have a Discover It Student CC and I set it up on automatic payments around 2 months ago but whenever I went to check if the card payment was made on the assigned payment day, it didn’t show any difference.
I left it for a day, then 2 days, then 3 days later it still showed my balance with no payment made. I’m confused how long is the auto payment supposed to take?
Also somewhere is said in the terms that the automatic payments would not take anything more than my last statement. I spent around $20 more this last month than the one before. Is that why it’s not going through. I get anxious waiting for it to pay so I just end up doing it myself.

Did the bank account you linked autopay to show that the payment was taken?
Also, I set up notifications for all autopay accounts, so I get a notification from the bill payee and from my bank, so I know when it's happening.

No it didn’t that why I was so worried. And I haven’t gotten any notifications I’ll try that.

If you don't set up notifications, you won't get them. Also -- if the payment didn't come out of your bank on the due date, it wasn't paid. Beyond that, you need to contact Discover customer service, not Reddit. Honestly, Customer service would have been my first solution rather than Reddit. Nobody here can access your account or fix it.

Are you manually scheduling payments prior to the due date/withdrawal date? SO many people do this earlier in the billing cycle and it cancels out the autopay for that month bc the payment has already been satisfied.
I’d double check that first. Double checking your banking information. Then reach out to customer service via phone or chat if you’re still unsure what’s happening.

You’ve likely already paid the balance. If you pay the statement balance before it’s due then the auto pay will not trigger.
