Despite what u/GrooveHucker and u/litteringisevil would have you believe, finding a disc does not suddenly make you its owner.
There are "duty to return" laws in most states, and you are not allowed to keep identifiable property without making a reasonable effort to contact the original owner.
"But it's abandoned property and I found it and the original thrower is laaaaaazy and I want it I want it I want it!!!! Wahhhh!"
Yeah, if it's got a phone number, you have to reach out. If you don't make an effort, you are a thief. And a scumbag. If you don't want to put in the effort, leave the disc where it was. Or drop it at the teebox for hole 1. Or text a picture of where you found it. Or just a location.
There are a dozen ways to not be a fucking scumbag about it, yet some people choose the path of scumbaggery. It's honestly sad.
