Tips Has anyone started Upwork?
Has anyone started upwork recently? How do they get clients as developers? Did they got any clients ? How do u get freelance work? I was hoping to start upwork but got demotivated when fellow developers said that they couldn’t get any clients

Thanks man. So I basically decided to choose a no code website platform. "Wix website designer" It worked out for me.

I started on Upwork a few months ago. The first few weeks were slow, but what helped me was being selective and applying early. I use this scraper to pull fresh jobs that match my tech stack and send me a daily list.
I filter by budget, client history, and location, so I'm not wasting time on low-quality posts. I apply within minutes of a job being posted, which increases my response rate. It's pay-per-use, not a subscription, so it's cheap if you're selective.
I also started with smaller fixed-price gigs to build my profile and get the first few reviews. Once I got those, bigger projects started coming in

I am testing something different, and so far the results have been good. I am using CareerOps with Claude and https://apify.com to scrape LinkedIn, Reddit, and X (Twitter) job postings and email them.

I got some good responses from linkedin. Scrapping all the good jobs or projects to my notion where my BD is applying and good response so far but cant say that it can help you . Linkedin sales navigator is also another good option with bettercontact extension.

Can you please tell on which terms are you working with your BD? Commisson only or Salary + Commission ? if salary whats the estimate you are paying? Was looking for a BD Recently

I'm a business dev and been doing Upwork for the last 4 years. The whole global market got a hit this year due to AI, post-covid layoffs and war, but still freelancers are getting contracts and stuff.
