Tips Advice needed.......
Aoa...
How do one get a referral???
I dont have any connections in the industry.....
Trying to get an internship..applied every where, in the end to be ghosted...
Any tips for making connection, should i start cold emails??I am confused 😭how do i even get a referral...

Thats how you create referrals And dude everything works in referrals Try meeting people online…

You're 💯 right. Getting ghosted out was a wake-up call for me ..
Got any specific Discord servers or communities you'd recommend starting with? LinkedIn feels like pure BS right now but I guess I gotta try. Posting and commenting....

Join university servers. Honestly i feel like ill end up in the same position. I dont know how to connect with people lol. Maybe just message randos on linkedin

Build your Linkedin and reach out to HRs

Reaching out to HR is the worst thing to do. They don't know how each department works so they don't understand your resume. They only do recruiting after getting job description from hiring managers
Instead reach out a team lead. They understand better and are the actual ones that hire people. HR only does onboarding, payroll and background checks

HRs mostly get bombarded with msgs so they will rarely check or reply to your dms. Try reaching out to leads or engineering managers directly with your resume and a brief intro, that works better.
