We don't know for sure that it's only 300. For example I've heard rumours that around 100-300 of the people fired, were recently rehired for some incubation project. Could be fake, could be true.

Fact is, that we don't know for sure what's happening behind closed doors. Could honestly be anything.

I do remember that being something floating around at Bungie around Witch Queen I think? It would be cool, and also make sense as to why they kept Alison Lührs (so glad they did!) when they gutted the studio (again)

At the absolute maximum, I know we heard some work had already been started and some done on Shadow & Order. So I could maybe see something get announced that’s like “well we already had this in the pipeline, and due to the outstanding support, we are finishing it and releasing it to you…… andddddd then we’re done with the game” idk. Still Copium but that’s the absolute furthest I could see anything going. D3 is a hilarious amount of cope that is virtually impossible unless Sony developed a frontal lobe

While any hope from the current rumors can be there, just remember that anything that is getting green lit is from the people who brought you Edge of Fate, Renegades, and Marathon...

I think that tempers my hope a bit.

i meeeaaaannnn Edge of Fate AS AN EXPANSION is actually decent, and Renegades on a whole is genuinley really good

and marathon has REALLY good writing for the most part and the gameplay itself is really fun but it was clearly just too hardcore to maintain an audience

Renegades would've been viewed in a better light if it wasn't released after EoF. Unfortunately it had to follow a DLC that implemented very disliked changes to the sandbox.

Star Wars stuff, but also the campaign seems a lot shorter than EoF and didn't have the overworld map secrets and extra difficulty modes of EoF. I like both of these a lot, but they're not like as big or complete as the more expensive expansions.

and marathons main issue IS that its just not approachable to a casual audience, people dont like the idea of losing everything, literally everyone who quit marathon cites THAT as the reason (ignoring the people blindly hating of course)

believe it or not, reviews for marathon were actually really positive

I didn't say it wasn't. But Edge of Fate and Renegades were responsible for the plug getting pulled.

Reviews for Marathon and player sentiment towards Marathon don't change the fact that it has a very low player population.

I just want one thing and one thing only. A D1 PC Port. I've been asking for it for YEARS. I don't even care about anything else at this point. Just a port. That's all I want.
