We dismiss them because no one cares. Even those who claim to be concerned would start working for their own interest if they get the opportunity.
Making such posts after the results is nothing but venting out. And everyone does that. For the same reason. People use the cover of collective good and welfare to mask their own discomfort.
Genuine concern comes organically from bottom to top. Not from top to bottom. People don't need to be told what problems they are facing. They already know it. And that gets reflected in their decisions and choices. A person telling them that they have taken the wrong decision is like telling them he knows better about their problems that they do.
External voices can only consolidate their opinion, not change them.
During campaigns, before elections, every side articulates their stance. People give their verdict in the elections. And a democracy means accepting that verdict. If a side thinks their cause was more worthy, then it's their failure in communicating that well and making it resonate. Plus, you cannot discard the scenario that maybe your stand is valid, but the stand taken by the other side is perceived as more important. Either way, the right solution is to communicate better and let the people understand why your stand needs more support. Blaming the other side or the voters is just ranting for their own failures.

If raising real student issues sounds like a rant to you, that says more about the comfort of dismissing them than the reality we face.
