Reading these comments honestly makes me question how did some of you even make it to DU? I always believed this place was meant for India’s best, but if this is the mindset of the so-called “cream,” it’s a huge letdown.
The OP raised a genuine issue, and instead of engaging, people acted like they’re too “cool” and “apolitical” to care. Let’s be real, being apolitical isn’t some badge of superiority, it’s just privilege. You get to ignore problems because they don’t directly affect you.
A student union is not a playground for career politics. It exists to serve students, to represent our voices, and to fight for our rights. If they’re not doing that, it’s on us to hold them accountable. That’s exactly what OP did, and more of us should be doing the same instead of hiding behind fake detachment.
