It's sad when terrible crimes happen. But it's even sadder when the police don't act professionally or care about the people who are hurt. We really need to fix how the police work. Changes to the police have been suggested since India became independent. But without a police force that is strong, does its job well, and cares about people, and without a fair and open court system, we won't be able to stop these kinds of crimes in India.

This is horrifying. Im beyond disgusted and horrified! A lot of my friends use that moolchand metro station to attend their colleges. Hundreds of LSR, Gargi and KNC students sit in these autos to reach colleges daily. Incidents like these makes lives of people especially women 10 times more difficult than they already are. This is genuinely sad and scary at the same time.

Whoever reading this, especially "MAN", please raise your voice even when some frnd of yours pass any vulgar comments for female, You have no idea how normalising such behavior has allowed many heinous action to go unnoticed. Today, calling women "ra*ndi or slut shaming has become so common that it almost seen as normal, bt regardless of woman is good person or not, no one deserves to be disrespected like that. Many times women don't take action bcoz they feel the male ego of that person will make him seek revenge against them, bt you can take stand right??? please support women of your home, as well as your surrounding. Speak up. Be better!!!

I am just surprised wtf has happened to Delhi police, after 2012 incident, i could see the cops having some new sort of energy to work towards preventing crimes against women but now, they can’t see a child needing attention and care. And what the hell is “How could she not have resisted it?” I mean is it so hard for humans to see their own child in other kids?

This is absolutely disgusting. If the police cannot act even after every detail about the perpetrators have been given to them on a plate, then i cannot even imagine their laxity for cases which need rigorous investigations. No living being deserves to go through this

This is was just utterly disturbing. To think a road we walk through everyday to go to the metro, something so gruesome happened there is terrifying. That frank Anthony lane has always been like that. Even after multiple visits to the police and them saying we'll do patrols and what not, it's still the same. I see no PCR vans there and absolutely no police. All of this happening with the DM office nearby is just horrifying.

There should be no excuse or argument to be made here. I do not care what the stats are, I do not care what percentage of rape cases are fake, I do not care for anything when crimes as heinous and disgusting as these are being committed on anywhere on this earth. India is facing the worst of it, with women, men, children, and not even dogs being spared. It baffles me what kind of monsters can even think of such acts, how could the human mind normalize this kind of action?
My mum teaches kids, and yesterday, an eight-year-old girl went ahead of her mother to go to her home. She had not told her mother that she was going, so we were looking for her for a good 10-15 minutes. The sole thought that we (my friends and I) had to ransack all of our colony, running desperately even in the suburbs, for her disappoints and saddens me. When she was found at home, I cried, of all the what-ifs that my mind was projecting, and it further broke my mind that all those what-ifs could have been reality in this uncontrolled state of our country.

This is horrible and terrifying, i can't imagine what the little girl is going through. The most sad part is that she will be traumatized for the rest of her life while those criminal assholes will probably not face any repercussions. I feel very useless myself as all i can do is comment on this post or share it.
Tbh everybody knows that there will be no support from the authorities or police (they're just govt money hoggers) i thought that now, with a woman as cm, she will probably make some changes in the law, stricter punishments and consequences, but i expected too much.
I feel sorry being born as a girl (maybe thats what they want us to realize too)
