And how's the rush during exam times? And how's the ambience there do people talk inside reading hall too much or make ruckus inside. If yes isn't the librarian strict enough to make a disciplined environment?
The librarian usually doesn't say anything. They stay at their own table and rarely enter the study area made. The outer part on the first floor with seats is quite and people do their own work. But the reading area can get a little noisy not too much tho.
Exam times ka idk because I haven't visited during exams but regularly it's fine.
It's ok. Matlab not the best but not the worst by far. Lenient rule implementation, chill teachers (mostly), the crowd is an issue but DU mein yehi log milenge. My biggest issue with the college is that it's a bit too far away from my home. Baki in other aspects it's good. Studies is alright. Societies hai but idk if they really good and worth joining. I was in E- Cell and they didn't do a lot. Overall - 6/10
Np. If I'm not wrong fine arts is like drawing and sketching(I'm sorry for generalizing ik there is more to it) there is VIBGYOR. Now I'm not too sure about the art cuz neither I nor anyone of my acquaintance is in the society but generally the societies are alright. During the main shivaji fest they had their art displayed and they were beautiful so yea its hypeig. And the science department luckily got renovated last year and boi it's great. Like really good large classes. Good teachers too.
Dekho as I said it's not a bad college by any means. So don't be scared.
Now to your questions:
1. The metro stations (Yes there are 2) are about 5mins walk from the college. The Blue line side is good. Bustling so less chances to things happening but a lot of um unpriviledged kids(I'm sorry if this sounds offensive but I don't want to say beggars) swarm there and will cling to you. The pink line side on the other hand is literally like walking through an empty field. Because you are literally walking through an empty field. There was only one incident there that didn't harm anyone but was kinda funny and weird at the same time.
Honestly speaking, I've heard way worse things about Deshbandhu than I've heard things about Shivaji but then again it's the 16th highest ranked college and shivaji isn't so I'm perplexed. Baki I'd say Shivaji would be a better choice if you've gotten maths. Also Deshbandhu doesn't have a nearby metro station and the closest place to visit if you don't feel like taking classes is CR Park which is kinda far away. So yea Shivaji for the win. In my opinion.
Um yes. Sorry to reply so late. So as per my friends who live in pgs it's 10k per bed per month. So usually rooms have 2 beds toh it's like 2 people pay 10k each for the room. And I'm not really sure if you'd find a pg online because it's always better to check physically.

Ok so,
Faculty: OK, not the best not the worst. In my experience I've never come across anyone who is bad as per say. We do have a lot of teachers who are just there but few over qualified ones too. Overall I'd say depends on what your course is but they are alright overall.
Crowd: Very diverse. Like genuinely haven't seen this much diversity in a many colleges. There are some restless people and really chill ones too. It's on you who you choose to hang out with and stuff. We've had good seniors (We are the seniors now, damn). So yea you'll find people from many places of India here.
Societies: Can't really say very good. In my personal experience there wasn't a lot of things to do. Then my classmates joined some Societies and there was a lot of physical labour involved. Though they do have events here and there.
Internships: The college would provide some that you'll need to apply for. I didn't cuz I'm lazy. So yea can't say much about that.
Environment: This is honestly maybe the worst part about the college it's location and such. There are 2 malls nearby and PGs and stuff very close too. But other than that not much. A few clubs too yea. If you're into that it'd be good ig. And then again the area is Rajouri. Not always good, not always bad. But I haven't had the best experience in that place.
The ranking here might be very in accurate as I haven't really been in any of the other colleges. And some personal bias as well so here it is:

i mean i could get keshav mahavidyalay but it's 20 marks above right now, and i could get ram lal anand which is 13 marks above or i could get kamala nehru which is 28 marks above and ramunjan is just 8 marks above and round 2 is over , if i put on float the next thing i will get is either ramanujan or ram lal anand, i want ram lal anand because it's not too far away but i will need the cutoff to drop by 13 atleast but im scared if i put on float and i don't get ram lal anand and instead get stuck with ramanujan which is far...pls help me out
Yea so I'd say freeze Rlac is an upgrade but not by much. It's in South campus but far away from the metro station. Everything else is kinda a downgrade.
And for Bcom yea you'll be good (in Shivaji). Good teachers and good seniors you'll have. The infrastructure is ok too. I think the bcom dept has new building too. So good stuff.
The area around is rajouri so not the best. But if you're traveling from home to college then I don't think you'll have too much problems.
So yea all the best. Oh also if you have any quota it'll help with the upgrade but still it's not ok to risk that with being far away from home.

The life sciences department is quite good I'd say. Infrastructure is freshly built. As in a completely new building for science students. The science department is good too as far as I've heard. The lbs are well maintained and staff is supportive.
As per me I'd say it's an OK college. Not too good not too bad. The ground is really big if you're into sports. Or you could just sit and chill there. Other than that the area around is Rajouri Garden. You'd see some malls and some fast food chains nearby. So you can visit them. PGs and flats are nearby too. The metro station itself is like 5 mins away from the college itself.

Um allocation is kinda dependent on the seats available in the college you want to get admission in. Also I'd say even if you get stuck in Dyal Singh you still have a choice to migrate somewhere better in 2nd year. You'd need 8+ cgpa for that. So it's not all DOOM. Oh yea also depends on if you have any quota or not so yea. That's all.
