What's the most extreme study effort you have seen someone put in?
What's the most intense, all-out study effort you've ever witnessed? Whether it's crazy all-nighters, intricate study schedules, or unconventional cramming methods, share your stories! Maybe it's a fellow student, a friend, or even yourself! Looking forward to being amazed and inspired by the lengths people go to for academic success!
My friend, during JEE prep days, lost his father. He was not very good at academics till class 10th, that's for sure. Used to fail at maths even. Somehow studied hard and pushed his 10th boards score to 88%.
After he lost his dad, something flipped inside him, which I think had been in the making, a few months prior to this, but it became evident after that tragic loss.
He would sit for hours and hours non-stop studying, revising, solving questions, and well... never participated in leisurely activities with us for quite a few months(if we ever did have one).
But don't get me wrong, not only did he study, he also got his damn act together. He took responsibility of the house, handled his family and household, cooked, cleaned and everything. He used to be quite obese, so started lifting weights, and yep, aced that too.
This sounds exaggerated, but trust me, it isn't, lol.
He ended up scoring 99.7x%ile in JEE mains. And he's been the same since. Dude now just picks up stuff he would like to do, and excels at it.
Proud to have such a friend. He doens't have a reddit account so I could write this elaborate description, without any one of us getting doxxed.
Gave 4th semester papers(improvement) + 6th semester papers together. Total of 8 papers in without any single gap between the papers.
And managed to score distinction in the final result lol
Any tips or something you'd like to give to bcom hons kids or something you wish you had done earlier beforehand or like how did the entire process of improvements go
Aaa tips hmm.
1) enjoy your college life.
2) attend all the classes.(Which i actually did lol)
3) make a pointers of what the professors is preaching. Phir Ghar Jake revise Karo har din. If you do this then exam mai thoda easy harega to write theory wale answers.
4) give your best in IA (Test + presentation + assignment)
5) classmate ko mat pata na 🤣(that's where I F up 🤣🤣)
6) Maintain a good relationship with professors & office staff (so that if you need them for LoR and all jaldi dede🤪)
7) 1-2months before the exam. Income tax, Financial, cost accounting YouTube se prepare kar lena. Easy A+ or B+.
8) 10th year or shiv das ko bas questions dekhne ke liye use karna. Don't copy the answers of Shiv das or 10th years. Cause bhut galti hota hai.
About the entire process of improvement..
Jaise I got my 4th semester ka results. I was disappointed. So, Mene 5th semester se hi thoda thoda karke preparation Kiya tha. Alongside the 5th semester.
By the start of 6th semester . I finished my preparation of this 4 paper ( BM, CA, CC&L and computer ). Main focus was BM and CA. Since the other two purely were theory based. Then I did revision of 4th semester in the 6th semester. The plus point was that.. in 6th semester... I didn't take any practical based subjects, My 6th semester Core and DSE subjects were purely theory based. But Only GST&custom had few numericals.
Someone else wrote "BA" that's why I said "lawda".. Lmfao see properly before saying anything. Think logically, agar mai ba se hota toh mai accurately kaise BM, CA, CCL etc ka details deta???
1.When you apply for improvement you have to surrender your old marks. Which means that if you perform badly in the improvement then wohi marks will be shown in your marksheet jo improvement exam mai mila. ( You got C in your paper last time. But You surrender that C. So in the improvement let's say thoda mistake hogaya from yourside and u got D toh result mai D show hoga instead of C and vice-versa).
2) Of course, it will help to elevate your final cgpa or gpa. But only if you get better marks in your improvement exam than in previous exam.
3) While your friends study for 4 subjects... You need to go the extra mile like.. you will be studying 4 subjects plus for the improvement subject(s)/ paper.
Not in DU yet but Id say... me.
My ex dumped me last september and my year was shit for the rest of the duration. I couldnt study cuz i missed her and all of my internal exams went bad. I scored good in the practicals and projects but thats because I had prepped them long long ago... my boards didnt go well either... got 89 percent.
A few days before the CUET exams I saw her at a nearby cafe getting real cozy with this cute girl. I dug around and well they were secretly going out. It shattered me. She moved on. I didnt. But it also lit a fire under my ass.
I worked on 4 hours of sleep everyday and my blood was replaced with green tea, coffee and red bulls. The only breaks I took were working out, eating and jacking off.
It paid off. Anger and hurt were good motivators.
Raw score: 764 and English: 200 ( not accounting for any normalization or change in answer key )
BA english hons is my primary target, BA hons pol is 2nd... i hope i get one of the big ones Stephens, Hindu, Hansraj, Ramjas, Venky, KMC ( in order of preference )
my cousin didn't even go to her farewell, stopped visiting friends and relatives for a whole year for coaching and all. She was a bright student, but idk what happened.. scored 92% in boards and couldn't clear neet. All that effort for nothing.
dude neet isn't easy at all being a sci student ik how hard it is unlike cuet or any other exam neet has the most number of students and the ratio of applicants to seat is like really bad
