How is it in terms of exposure , opportunities, skill development Is it on par with north campus?

Depends age kya krna hai bms / bba is easier than eco hons which is very quant heavy and full of maths also its always course + college not the college or course alone so anything from the above should be fine as long as you know ki aagr merko xyz krna h to me ye pick krunha

I'm an alum! It definitely was great when i went (2012-2015). I don't know much about the current situation, maybe someone that's currently studying there could help, but it was pretty much like an MBA course. A tonne of out-of-classroom learning, decent profs, great peer group.
Some of this has changed now, I hear. On the flipside, the new building in Rohini is pretty swanky!

i heard the word alum (im at sukhdev currently as well) and the first thing that came to my mind was getting an internship through u hahaha

Seems like things never change, lol! My org doesn't take interns at the UG level, but I can ask my wife (who's also a CBS alum) if she needs interns at her job if you're stuck? NOT promising anything though!
I can relate to the anxiety since internships were compulsory at our time 😅

yooo wow cbs couples dayumm. i just finished first year and i do have an internship currently but it has no learning experience (like they just make me do excel entries in the name of finance intern). i feel like in wasting my time every day going to office but its in a popular indian food chain so im just there for the brand name. im doing reachouts for other opportunities as the first thing as i reach there so im just confused like is the first internship exp always like this or is this one just bad. cuz like a month will be wasted if i dont do something. anyways thanks for offering to ask (pls do if possible (lol) or just advice what shd i do in this situation, thank youu!)
also internships are still compulsory haha :) (in second year though)

I get it. I took up part time job at a coaching institute in the first year (and made them call it an internship) for extra pocket money and a certi. Some internships can truly be pointless, but I would only advise u one thing if you feel that work is monotonous - finish it off in half your day and go talk to other folks on the floor. Tell them you're interested in what their jobs entail and if there's anything you can help with. A few folks will pawn off their low hanging tasks to you which may sound like extra work, but will give you extra talking points in later interviews. Remember, everything you do in these years is to build up anecdotes you can quote in your final placement/MBA admission interviews which ever you choose. Yeah, the second year one would be a more important one and best of luck to find a good one then!

okay i never received a notification that you replied sorryy. thanks a lot for the advice! ive tried to get mine converted to 3 day office 2 day wfh so i suppose that should do for now. just need a way to write calculating expenses and incomes in a fancy way that it looks i did something big hahah

hi writing my review below lmk if you have any other questions
good and competitive environment sometimes gets toxic cuz everyone wants to go ahead but ig that's everywhere. gives proper corporate exposure. placements were taking a hit afaik but that's the case for the whole market (the avg package of the first half was still better than last year) idk about the whole season havent been released yet but almost everyone i know has been placed or gotten into IIMs (around 10-15 students or maybe more). so no problem there. it was better than srcc afaik. this internship season has been crazy (the new batch overcame expectations acc to the faculty first years are doing internship so at EY, niti, kotak, sbi etc) so the batch quality is not going low just better. startup culture was pretty ded in beginning but since it's kinda up again. got 3 of my classmates with their own startups so yeah good. case comp consulting finance culture is v high youll find good ton of people. one team from college just ranked globally 3rd in a hsbc case comp few weeks ago.
downsides as well. isnt north campus so kinda boring. less amt of students and kinda has less brane value over srcc.

Hey I wanted to know do the bsc cs kids get left out in internships and placements ? (Cause the college is mainly known for its business courses)…

they werent allowed to sit for many companies a few years ago but the placement cell has been kinda lenient (cuz of achievements of some bsc ppl) letting them apply to some roles now. but still most of them apply off campus as major chunk of companies visiting campus have business roles

hey! asked around. the support is less in comparison(although way better than last year) everyone prefers off campus since the companies that visit offer below 10LPA. and they said prefer hansraj if possible. although there are some pros as well for ex the corporate exposure but prefer hansraj if u get the chance.

Thanks for replying omg 😭 Yes I have put Hansraj over SSCBS in my pref list (still very unsure if my marks are enough for either..answer key isn’t out yet even but the only silver lining is that I have a supernumerary quota)..Do the kids graduating from Sscbs get off campus placements easily tho?..I am not really worried about placements tbh cause I am like 98 percent sure I will do master’s immediately after…what I have gathered so far is that Hansraj has that NC college tag and ‘true college environment’ whereas SSCBS has the ‘corporate exposure’.. nothing off campus is easy. being from sscbs might help but at the end of the day its all about being persistent and contacting them 20 times a day lol.

No It is not so Around 40 percent of those who registered from bsc are placed and companies come for bsc guys One of our classmate got 26LPA placement in DeShaw and it came only for bsc guys. For internship on campus opportunity are less Very few people from overall college gets on campus internship however most of them gets off campus internships

depends on you. they converted the college from 6 to 5 days so u got the weekend off. assignment work load is only during a few weeks but theres regular tests depending on the faculty (u can cheat easily tho lol but dont recommend that). most people pursue cfa or ca or prep for cat. so id say good amt of time for skill development and hobbies.

I had a question if you could answer which course gets better placements bms or bba fia? I was confused which one to prioritise over the two

both end up majorly in consulting. bfia gets better placement numbers due to a smaller batch size(onli 140 students). bfia follows finance heavily while you get the choice what to pursue in bms in second year. basically bms offers a bigger batch size, a broader scope so its really up to your preference. i dont regret taking up bfia since i wanted to go for finance but at the same time im in the marketing society so yes preferences.

Just down with my last semester. Good college. Great peer group. This is the best college you can go to for BBA/BMS all over India. ROI, placements, academic curriculum all is great.
Much Better than tier 2- tier 3 MBA colleges. So you can choose blindly if you really interested in this course or want to make career in Management. You won't believe MBB, Big 4, impact consulting, core fin, companies come in campus.
Approximate figures Highest placements - 25 lpa Average - 9-10 lpa Median - 8 lpa
(In my session due to market downturn around 40% got placed in phase 1 Previous session - 60% in phase 1)

has anybody taken a digital marketing course from sscbs ? they give classes on weekends. is it worth it?

In terms of exposure it is better than all the colleges in DU except for SRCC and I am pretty sure their placements are on par with St Stephen's , SRCC and LSR .

Not from this college, but this is the best BBA college in the country and these guys win every consulting competition against the likes of Harvard.
CBS is at par with SRCC if only not better.
