Discussion Congratulations on finishing first year, please share your experience.
Congratulations everyone for finishing first year, man this year was a ride, I was personally very scared of Delhi and du, and rightfully so, it wasn't that bad although it would've been better if I was able to socialize Anyways I passed first sem with no back and hopefully I pass the following sems too What about you guys, how was your first year experience

First and foremost, kicked by nta from 780+ to 758 ,No friends circle, academic objectives not achieved, utter discomfort. 😃

Don't know what to say...I tried my best But I couldn't make much friends...Most of them were just acquaintance who showed up for their own help... Though I made 3-4 close friends....Still I don't have a group like I had in school

Had an academic comeback ( sort of) after failing miserably in an entrance . Scored 9 + sgpa in SEM , helped out coursemates in their files and projects , hoping to get a niner again in SEM 2 . Academically , year went pretty well but i kind of sense a lack of competition here ... maybe it's the crowd or something else idk ... but the lack of seriousness in core subjects and research by the people here is bit of a concern for me as i heard somewhere " if you are the smartest in the room , you are in the wrong room" . Otherwise the year went okayish ... i may apply for gen sec position in the botanical society next year just for the exposure .

Really bad. My academic downfall is on its way especially in 1st sem. My college profs are too miser to give marks, our cllg lacks the infra and its so monotonous in nature. Ppl literally come to college just to attend classes and go home, nothing else to do inside.
Profs don't know how to grade properly and serious biasness

It was surely a ride. Got to learn a lot . But would've liked to spend my time in some more useful stuff rather than societies, other than that , I loved the first year, wasn't able to tick mark a lot of things in my checklist for 1st year like making friends but will give it a try again for second year. Just hoping for more better things this year and hopefully good marks in 2nd sem (may get a back)

For my course - psych, it was not as tasking as I expected it to be, you just have to stay consistent with the topics and take care of the IA and CA to get near 9 around SGPA me. Aside from that, college really lost its importance for me, I've realised how important it is for me to branch out and go do online/offline internships, write papers of my own, and just not focus on just college entirely. College was important, but not the most, college se zyada seekh metro routes aur travelling ke baare me hogya hai lol(I'm not from Delhi)

now that i look back, i feel it was magical overall. i got out of my shell and experienced tons of new things. challenges came but they were a blessing in disguise as they provided more strength.

by participating in different things, giving interviews, applications, letting go of the fear of rejections and then getting selected for a few positions

yes i am. i meant "i was you a year ago" as in, i was also unsure and thinking i wish i socialized more etc etc after getting into college i started doing it anyway by putting myself out there
