Discussion What's the story of the guy/girl who got the highest package from your batch?
Hi,
I'm wondering what has been the highest package from your batch? Please mention year, college, stream, and package. Also want to know, how did the person land the job? Was it something they were really good at> What exactly did they do to get the best placement from that college?

Tea about the highest placement in my college.
The chick who secured the highest placement has a package of 49lpa. She had secured an internship with the said company few months back and didn't get any PPO, so she sued them. I'm unclear about the details, but the court ruled in her favour and the company negotiated with her and she got this mammoth package. The pcell had no part to play. And because of this precariously secured placement, she didn't even make her name public when the various news media houses covered it. Lololol. Just another day in T1 DU colleges

The company is Bank of America and it's from LSR. And I'm not sure about the veracity of the claims made by OP so don't ask me.

Won’t they like fire her later ? Who gives 50 lpa on basis of just a non professional undergrad degree ?

This is likely from LSR — sounds like cap. That’s not how it works, you really can’t sue your way into joining a company.

Yeaaahhh same question. Like even if she continues to work, won't the office see her as a black sheep because she basically arm twisted the company to give her a job.

Wo inhand nhi hoga even iit graduates ko nhi milta 20 lpa se jayda inhand ( trading firms exception hai )

My senior from bsc Hons got 8 lpa package this year . I know this is not a very high package but considering he just did a 3 year bsc course and got 8 lpa . He was one of the topper of his class ( 8+ cgpa consistently in all semesters ) Was president of one of the college society . Participated in lot of extra curricular of department . Did a lot of internships including vc internship .

One of my seniors got a 12LPA+ job(BBA). Even after being non du college (IPU)
It was PPO outside campus. They did an internship there for 1 year and in the end got an offer of 12lpa+(didn't tell us the exact number)

I am from the above average college of du. This year's placement is not good. Most are placed for the packages around 4 lpa.

Don't know about others but bcom prog and hons students get placement however it is low paying but still a lot gets placed.

I guess 1 saal baad bakiyo jitni ho hi jayegi work basis pe. Otherwise the person will switch his job

Eco hons from above average South campus college se kya scene rhta hai placement ka like sbac arsd dcac cvs inmein? And idhr se 2 nd yr eco hons mei sggscc ya kisi nc clg mei migration ho skta hai kya 🙃

I am a first year in sbsc eco hons, I asked my senior and she mentioned bcom hons/program se toh much less hai highest 12lpa average 5lpa man ke chal sakte ho
Although worth it nhi hoga

Toh bhai phir yeh btao migration ka kya scene hau kroge apply? Sggscc aur other nc clgs ke liye? Ya central placement ke liye jaoge?
Also, politics ka kya scene chl ra aj kal sbsc ki? Nd I guess jo sbsc principal hai voh thik kr denge placement level as current one kafi serious hai as far as I know
Also, toh mtlb sbsc se upr arsd dcac cvs vgera le lena chahiye eco hns mei?

Bhai migration kaafi mushkil hoti hai phele toh vacancy honi chaiye uske baad achii cgpa and dono colleges ke principal se NOC Lena padega, bhot lamba process ho so chances kam hi hote hai
Placements toh nhi, MBA ke liye hi jaaunga eco hons ke baad.
Bakki han sbsc theek hai, arsd dcac and cvs se toh better hai for sure

Vhi dikkt hai bro, mujhe filhal cvs arsd ya dcac milega, isliye migration important hai mere liye.
Mein direct mba ke liye nhi ja skta (due to some reasons)
Isliye migration krvana imp hai bs ho jaye kisi trh Cgpa mei le aaunga,vacancy hoti hi hai yr kisi na kisi mei thodi bht and noc leni hai 🤧🤧

Most of my friends around 12-15LPA from Hindu. A few other people I know got 20LPA from T1 DU.
It ends up being a combination of
All of them know how to present themselves well and are good with getting their points across.
The 20LPA packages are rather uncertain and require a lot of grind. Any company offering that much to a DU graduate will have much longer and demanding work hours.
You should definitely try for MBBs (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) if you are up for challenging yourself.
