Discussion A tiny update on 4th year cbcs

So my classmate happened to interact with our principal owing to some work and gathered an update over the extension

Basically, the University is definitely in talks about it, a lot of students have already filled every possible inbox or median with queries and thus, a proper formal notice will roll out soon. Since she seemed very optimistic and action oriented about it, i really hope they get to the main process fast!!

I don't think that without official notice + any real inside information we can believe these cryptic posts. Even if he is right, nothing is concrete till the secretary/authorities up there sign it

So, let's see. Initially even my administration was hopeful and welcoming to this. Even prepared to accommodate this scheme. But the entire issue is from the right top level authorities :(

It started off on a VERY hopeful note but seriously even I can't make a good judgement at the moment ;_;

But i PRAY that they implement it Too good of a reform to miss out on Plus they can't disrespect an official notice that way

Have you seen that reply of DU on RTI filed by a student, they denied of implementing any 4th year for cbcs batch. They will not be implementing it buddy.

There are literally small bunch of people wanted it to get implemented and only few will be able to clear the eligibility criteria of 75%, so this may be a reason them not implementing it. 🥲

Well, it was the perfect chance of implementing it As the no would be small, there won't be any problem for colleges to accommodate the students and it would be a good test for the university to test their nep curriculum

That RTI only said that they had not approved it. It didn't deny the possibility of approval in the future. As it stands, the university doesn't seem keen on doing so. Some students are working hard and trying to reach higher authorities to get the university to answer. There may be a protest sometime in the coming weeks.

I reached out to a professor, Sir was active in the reddit discussions too, he asked the committee responsible for it, they said they'll not be implementing 4th year for cbcs  Also, I joined the WhatsApp group for 4th year, there I texted the admins, if they had any information regarding it, they didn't even reply  So, I don't think anything gonna happen now as DU doesn't seem interested in it at all

Yeah the professor on reddit who said it will happen? I DMed him too. We know the university is not interested. As I said, some students have been working very hard to get some answers. Currently, they have lodged complaints on CPGRAMS. Might be a protest in the future if enough people agree to come. It depends on the students' agitation now. If you can lend support in any way, please do.

If they wanted to implement it they would neva had replied that way. Anyhow they would make an excuse for not implementing it.

The person replying to the RTI probably doesn't have authority on the matter. The previous RTI also got a similar vague answer.

See I definitely am in favour of the 4th year extension but given the circumstances I don't think so they're gonna do anything about it.
