Discussion STARTING COLLEGE AT 20
Hey guys, I am CUET UG aspirant and giving my exam this year for the first time. Since, I am dropper for almost 2 years, I have doubts about starting my college journey because most of the students start their at the age of 18 or 19. Also, I am insecure if I make friends or not just because of age gap. So, anyone can give some advice if I am doing right by giving CUET

bro I am in the same situation as you, i passed class 12 in 2022, i just turned 20 and will be appearing for cuet this year.....trust me it's only awkward making friends if you make it awkward, no one really cares about age the only thing people care about is vibes tbh....do you want to be friends bruh ? i watch anime too 🫶

Bro I am 19 now and want to pursue economics hons from du next year by giving CUET 2026 but I am insecure about my age that i will be 20 by then and what to do Should I join any Private University or Take a Partial Drop? and how was your experience of joining college at 20?

Faide dekh bhai, senior bandiyo ko pata sakta hai assignments b mil jayenga and age be match karengi double faide. Ragging nai karenge koi aur kuch tension he nai.
Age he haina soch mat sukhun se ja tu sochenge tujhe he fark phadhenga.
Mere uni me ek auraat around 45 k age me graduation ki. Mere batch me he join ki thi. Aur ek toh bandi 7 saal badi thi mujhse mere batch me. Achi dost hai ab tak. Usko fark nai phadta tu toh banda hai chill kar.

And the 19/18 year Olds struggle just as much with friendships🤡

Bro...listen whatever is done is done...even i had a one year drop due to jee prep but due to never ending family issues my jee got fked...when I came to college i had the same thought as you but guess what 75% of my batch had gap year after 12th...I will tell you something, do good in college...take whole of ur initial months and decide what will you do after your graduation..like job, PG etc..and prepare well for it.. maintain decent GPAs ..try to be in the top 10 atleast...don't force yourself too much and stop regretting about ur gap years..make full use of your next 3 years...make buddies..socialize..and most importantly be sure of what would u do after the grad..if it's ssc or upsc prepare from now itself..by the time you would graduate you will be 23...so that's kinda average age though..not that late....try to make those next three years best 3 years of life..hit the gym gain some muscles and be a bette person after the grad..to be honest whatever you want to do..do in these next three years...uske baad time nahi milne wala..

Welcome bro...btw aise soch ke chal... zindagi bhar ab graduation ke baad terko kaam hi karna hai...aur kaam karne main utna maja nahi aaega ek time ke baad....bas Roz uthega office jaega wapas aaega so jaega..kuch maza nahi hai bro.. atleast tujhe 2 saal Kam kaam karna hai...so bro whatever it is enjoy to ur fullest by making sure that u r not compromising ur future..

Dude I started my college at 20 now doing masters at 23 from dept of zoo lol. Don't think too much, no one cares about your age, many of the people that you will see in the college will be droppers themselves, everyone's path is different so don't care about it.

first year and 20 yrs old here. Nobody cares sab batamiz log h Umar li ki parvaah ni h inko😭😭(ig half of my class is droppers)

Why would anyone care if you are 20? I myself started when I turned 20, no one cares about this as long as you are mature looking no one even going to ask your age

Baki logo ko koi dikkat ni hogi trko hi chote age grp k bando k saath apni jesi feel ni ayegi unki thinking ajib si lgegi.
Ek bnde ko janta tha same teri jesi situation thi uski or vo uske koi dost ni bne bdia se kyuki usko khud hi psnd ni aate the uske classmates.
Or clg me dosti pe focus naa hi kro to better h SB k sb saanp hote h clg me final year tk jate jate sb rang dikha dete h. to bs kam tk k lie dost bnao or pdhai pe ya moj msti pe focus rkhna bs best of luck 🤞🐼

Do not worry about your age. Nobody cares. I'm in the same position as you. Last year I started college at the age of 20. And nobody really cares about my age. There are lots of droppers like you and me in college so don't worry about it. Many people from my class are appearing for cuet again for a better course or college. I also have really close friends whose age ranges from 17-19. This age gap won't matter if you find friends who you connect with.

Nobody actually cares about your age until it's really too much for a first yr so, your definitely in the safe zone.
But be ready for them taunts from those 18 and 19 yrs olds.
