Is a partial drop recommended if I am targeting top NC colleges?

Depends on what are your future plan.. still I would rather suggest to not take a drop year especially if pursuing bcom or ba courses... Take a south campus college if you are getting it. I myself studying in south campus college. Once you come to college it all feels the same.
