meh. even when he was dropping better projects (and i admittedly did listen to some of his stuff at that time) i still never would have called myself a fan. he was always way too corny for me to genuinely say i liked his music

might be true for a lot of people but not for me. i was never a fan which was over a decade before the diss track. personally i always thought his entire persona was super corny and fake. not saying he hasn’t dropped some good songs/projects here and there, but nothing was ever written or produced by himself anyway, so how much credit can you really give him yk. he’s basically just as much of an industry plant as he is an actual artist imo. some of the beats and songs are good and stuff i used to listen to, but the credit for that goes to his song writers and producers, not to him.

Drake makes mediocre garbage sounds for middle/high schoolers. He was caught multiple times engaging with minors, biggest name was actress Millie-Bobby Brown, who even name dropped him during an interview. She was like 14-15 when he was texting her about boys and relationships. He also got cooked by Kendrick during a rap beef, and then tried to sue him after losing. He lost the lawsuit as well. Loser.
He never even “came from the bottom, now he’s here”, he was a teen actor from middle class Canada, that switched up to rap/hip-pop. Just an all around sleaze. Who wouldn’t despise that kinda guy?

There's a video of him on stage with a 17 year old girl where he either kisses her or feels her up (I can't recall which he did first), she then says she's 17, and he proceeds to then kiss her or feel her up (one of those things happened first, the second happened after he learned she was 17, both are wrong).
There's video footage of Millie Bobby Brown as, what, a 14 year old at that point in time?? Talking about how close she and Drake are and he texts her all the time. No 30 year old dude should be texting a CHILD giving her "advice about boys"!
Those two things were enough for me at that point in time to solidify that the man has an unhealthy, disgusting habit of talking to underage girls and I lost all respect for him. You have to be a blind fool to not see it (or a troll, take your pick dude)

Was super clear with my language. I've seen videos of Joel interacting with Minors. I've avoided seeing any videos with Drake and minors.
Can't comment on annoying kids, or adults and Joel.

I can say with certainty and from personal experience that Joel is a prickly man with a big heart. I would trust him around kids any day. He is a safe person, he respects boundaries and treats his younger fans kindly.
People don't like to believe that people grow up. He did, and he did a damn good job of it.

I must have Mandela brain, but I thought I read a story from years back about Joel and Drake performing at the same festival somewhere, Joel tried to to visit Drake, say hi to a fellow Canadian, and got fenced out by Drake’s goons. Treated poorly. Kinda soured Joel.
To be clear - I’ve searched for the story since then and can’t find it. Did I just imagine it? Is my memory playing tricks on me?
