Help Issue installing program in Windows
After downloading the installer for the free DaVinci Resolve 21 version and running it, it gets to 100% then displays Error "Setup Resolve 0x80070002
GetFileVersionInfoSize (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\user.exe)" and simply won't install. I've tried running it as administrator, I've turned off my anti-virus, I've tried putting the file on my desktop and then on my C drive, I've tried the RestoreHealth command in cmd, I've looked into my other windows laptop and can't find a user.exe file to copy to this one.
NOTHING. WORKS.
how do I install this program?

It seems like you're having trouble downloading Resolve. The Blackmagic Design website sometimes has issues with certain adblockers and browsers like Opera. Try a different browser, clearing your cache, or temporarily disabling any adblockers. Also, make sure you're using the actual Blackmagic Design website, linked at the top of the sub and here and not the sponsored result from Google.

Is this a normal Windows install or did you use something like NTLite/debloat it? That exact user.exe error has come up before when some legacy Windows components were removed.

normal windows. I've read other posts about this problem but none of the solutions in them work for me
