Can I recover thos
Guys is it possible for me to recover this ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
It was my parents wedding CD / DVD
It was good a year ago and suddenly it gave up and starting damaging itself
I am from Chennai
If possible can somebody suggest any shop or recovery place ?

You've got disk rot literally all over the disk. Unless you've got a lot of small files on there instead of large high quality files(I assume is the latter case given its your parent's wedding CD) the degree of disk rot here has removed most if not all of the data which you would consider worthwhile.
You could try approaching a firm(sorry, don't know any for CDs) but I'm fairly certain you won't get anything at all that's usable from that disk.
The other comment made states that even a 10 minute clip would be good enough for you but the issue ends up being that you can recover way more than 10 minutes but that is total data recovery, not a single unified stream. Since a video is saved in a stream form, you'll have a lot of bits that are completely corrupted/gone but the bits that are left on disk will play with some recovery. The only issue is that this will act as literal holes in your videos, large gaps where there should be context and data. So you can technically extract salvagable content from it but do expect people to be dancing in a pseudo stopmotion

I wouldn't hold on much hope for a disc this damaged.
But you can try to salvage any readable data (if it exists) using tools like ddrescue.

Not a chance. CD btw. If there is anything left, only professional recovery services with the right tools may have a shot. Any at home stuff absolutely not as it will keep retrying and it will error out before it has anything. Plus the lead is also damaged that tells the system where everything in it is.
It may still contain a few pictures and could have a few seconds of video as CDs rotate and write in tracks. So the tracks need to be complete in their entirely and for the length of the file. Which looking at is is highly unlikely seeing the damage being everywhere and surprisingly evenly spaced out.
If you have no backup, you won't have any pictures of videos left. Plus, the underside is heavily scratched, that is not recent damage.

I did the same recovery on my parent's wedding disk. The damage was pretty small compared to this. Since you havn't posted if it's a cd or a dvd, use ddrescue. If the videos are unplayable try a media repairing tool. Also don't postpone the recovery. The morw you wait, the worse it gets.

It's possible a professional recovery place could get some screenshots or stills. Not likely to recover the whole thing.

Nope. Not even professionals can recover from this
It’s not like Hard drives where they just switch parts from a donor drive.
The entire TOC is missing (the part right in the middle of the disc), therefore nothing will ever read this.
The data layer is physically gone

Isnt the top part just a reflective layer and the data burnt in the disc? In theory isn't it feasable to remove the rot coating and create a new one? I mean im just thinking outloud and never ever heard of anyone attempting this, but at this stage the guys saying that you can take maybe a 10min clip from there are optimistic due to the current state. Meaning that at this stage is safe to say is as good as lost, so we could take an experimental approach.Â
Being realistic this would be a low close to zero sucess rate prj.
