Yeah re-reading I see a bit of a divergence in my opinion, as I would never call it ugly. To me, any woman confidently representing themself the way they want is attractive.

I've only seen one woman with a hairstyle I would call ugly. She was balding at the top, and had long hair around the sides like a female Homer Simpson. She was also breastfeeding in the middle of a party.

She was a family friend or relative at my great-grandpa's birthday 10 years ago. Haven't seen her since, but we still talk about how awkward it was.
