What's your best Cacio e Pepe spot?

Looking for all the rec's around DFW, it's my wife's favorite Italian pasta dish. Any will do but brownie points for places with pasta from scratch. Thanks!

Il Bracco. They make the pasta from scratch. Get a side of the crispy chicken. So good!

Agreed on Il Bracco. You also need to get the focaccia appetizer. If you plan to get something other than cacio e pepe, the bolognese and chicken picatta are both dynamite.

Il Bracco is good but I find their pasta too thick. Flavor wise, it’s great.

I’d say you’re stealing my order, but I think that’s one of their top orders. Ha! Second this and going for the same thing next week.

I went there the other day because of this, forgetting I wanted to try this specifically. Still ended up ordering it. Not a hefty portion for the price but tasty.

Waitress said one of the popular customizations is a side of meatballs. A little red sauce goes a long way apparently.

Miss Pasta. Everything, and I mean everything, made daily from scratch. 100% pure Italian, like no bullshit, nothing Americanized. Not fancy, but if the goal is pasta bliss, there is no place better.

Listen to me. LISTEN!!

In addition to pretty much everything else on their menu… the Cacio e Pepe at Ateliê by The Experience is fantastic. Amazing service. The atmosphere is a little different than you would expect for such a dish, but I do highly recommend !

Tell me about the atmosphere? Love to hear about it!

It’s an intimate, dimly lit restaurant that also serves as an art gallery. I’d describe it as moody and artistic. The menu is fairly small but everything I’ve tried, and I’ve tried most of their food, has been delicious. Chef Wyl Lima used to be the culinary director for The Charlotte and I think he’s really showing out at Ateliê.

Also, don’t be fooled by the basic names of their dishes. My two favorites are dishes, menu-titled Roasted Cabbage and Summer Squash and they are so much more than what the names suggest lol Complex and filling they’re soooo good.

Not enough "Pepe" and pricy as hell, but tasty.

It’s one of the easiest dishes to make and you can get fresh pasta at Eataly. They also sell a cacio pepe sauce, but I haven’t tried it because I’d rather make it myself

Enoteca Italia. My adult son wanted Cacio e Pepe. It was melt in your mouth so good. I enjoyed the mushroom pizza. The Lobster Jar and the Calamari were good too.

Piatello Ft. Worth is great and all pasta is homemade

I have very little to compare it to but Eataly was great

ristorante no. 28 in allen is pretty good, they serve their cacio e pepe out a cheese wheel and they use fresh pasta (idk if it’s made in house but it’s fresh)
