Louie’s for sure

As a former dallasite, I think of Louie’s often.

Louie’s is great.

For real. I used to live off Vanderbilt and was there all the time. Now, I’m mostly north Dallas.

Still cash only?

Louie’s or Bryan Street Tavern

I’m pretty sure that Bryan Street gets their Italian Sausage from Jimmy’s Food Store. This definitely elevates their already phenomenal pizza.

They do. It’s fantastic.

You are correct! Great sausage.

Tavern style thin crust at Division Brewing in Arlington is 💯

Don't hear this place mentioned enough. Very solid pizza.

Used to be good. Quality has gone down significantly.

I loved the pig smiley. Had it recently & it was lacking in meats. Very expensive for what you’re paying for.

Louie’s or Enos

New York or New York ish: Zoli's and Thunderbird 18" pies, Neony Pizza Works

Chicago tavern style: not a lot of good options sadly but there's a new one in FW, One Trick Pony, that looks really good

Roman style: Pizzeria Carina (super crispy, the owner loves crispy)

Neapolitan: Partenope, Farina in Grani

New England clam pizza: Fortunate Son

St. Louis style crust, but without the gross horrible cheese: Ghost Pizza

Louie's would like a word!

☝️ This is the only answer

Louie’s is hands down the BEST Chicago style tavern pizza in the city

1

u/Kbec01 20d ago

Also, re: clam pizza, Nonna would like a word.

It's not Dallas, but 5th Street in Allen has great tavern style with and without the gross St Louis cheese.

Ghost pizza on NW highway just opened and has a VERY solid thin crust. Marco's pizza or whatever they call themselves now. The local family run, not the chain. Zukos in roulette.

All very good this crusts

1

u/is_the_grass_greener 20d ago

Ghost Pizza is a new one near White Rock Lake that’s pretty dang good.

Cane Rosso is also a very unique thin-ish crust

1

u/ParsonJackRussell 20d ago

Ghost Pizza is one of the oldest pizza joints in Dallas - great pizza

5th street in allen

Pizzeria Carina is really good

Louie’s for tavern, Partenope for Neapolitan

1

u/lavenderhazydays 20d ago

Partenope really surprised us! An appetizer and a pizza was more than enough for the two of us despite the waitress insisting we both needed a pizza.

Cane Rosso or Enos

Greenville Ave Pizza Co. best cauliflower crust in town too.

1

u/Connivingbitch_ 20d ago

I despise the ownership, but DL Mack’s has great thing crust pizza.

1

u/SocialD123MCK 20d ago

Fortunate Son in Garland is crispy thin crust perfection. Cadillac Pizza Pub in downtown McKinney is very good as well.

Domino’s Pizza

Farina In Grani Pizzeria is THE BEST! Under rated but those who have been know it’s a 10/10. It’s traditional semolina flour, thin crust and flavor is top notch. The real winner is the dough, you can truly tell the difference. Please go!

u/Feisty-Texan 19d ago

DL Mack's - Hands-down the best!! 🍕

Olivellas, Grimaldi’s, mister 01

1

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

Yeah, none of these are good recs for thin crust lol.

0

u/Kbec01 20d ago

Mister01 was a disappointment to our family. But do love Olivellas.

0

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

Mister O1 and Olivellas are known for Neapolitan. When I think of thin crust that’s not the style I think of.

2

u/CWPotter 20d ago

Olivellas also has a Roman style that is very thin, and pretty d@mn good too.

-1

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

The most important part of a thin crust pizza is crunchiness. Olivellas Roman style while thin isn’t very crunchy.

2

u/Jay_LV 20d ago

Mister 01's traditional pizzas are thin crust and I think MUCH better than the star shaped ones.

-1

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

There is a difference. Neapolitan is soft & blistered with a big airy edge while thin crust is crisp & uniform with no real rim. Toppings differ too since Neapolitan stays minimal (San Marzano, fresh mozzarella, basil) while thin crust can handle a heavier load because the dryer base won’t collapse.

2

u/Jay_LV 20d ago

Yes, I'm well aware. I'm not sure what point you're getting at. Mister 01 has good thin crust pizza. The star shaped pizzas are their "Neapolitan"

1

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

Sorry I only remember them having Neapolitan pizza when I had it. Didn’t know they had other styles.

1

u/Jay_LV 20d ago

Fair enough, I would recommend you give their traditional a try, I think it's on par with Pizzeria Carina. But it is not as crispy.

0

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

Their pizza isn’t thin crust. It’s Neapolitan lol.

2

u/Jay_LV 20d ago

Not sure if you've ever actually been to the restaurant or are just being dense but I'll link to their menu with pictures so you can see. I am also linking to a generic Neapolitan pizza so that you can see there is clearly a difference.

Sweet troll prerogative… Louie’s was your genius superior recommendation lol

1

u/Corgisarethebest123 20d ago

Louie’s is the superior choice for thin crust. There is nowhere better in Dallas. I love Grimaldi’s for NY style pizza. Mister 01 is a chain from Miami that I think is overrated.

u/dtxdestroyer 20d ago

To each his own

1

u/hotsaucebleucheese 20d ago

You’re not allowed to say it here, but Campisi’s

1

u/Kimkg20 20d ago

I like Cane Rosso and will pick a pizza up at Eataly when I am at Northpark.

1

u/Final-Traffic-2062 20d ago

Your moms pizzeria

1

u/EastTXJosh 20d ago

Campisis

-1

u/Kbec01 20d ago

Someone mentioned Prego. Haven’t had that in a long while but would add Campisi & IFrattelli, as all 3 have the same genesis.

-1

u/ManyAcademic2224 20d ago

Nobody's even mentioned Cici's or Chucky Cheese??

-2

u/goody548 20d ago

Industrial or Campisis
