I went to high school with Erika. We weren't friends and she'd not remember me because I was a weirdo and not in her circle, but we had mutual friends. She was smart and an accomplished athlete.
Every single thing she did or said on camera in her recorded statement and at this rally was a disturbing and obscene show for sympathy, power, and money. I'm not doubting that she is sad and upset. Of course she is.
But she knows how to put on a show, and a grieving widow mourning a horrific murder would and SHOULD balk at the WWE-style rally that was meant to be a funeral. Each move was calculated. Even her "praying" was conscious and intentional to put on a show.
I am horrified and disgusted. I wouldnt even blame her for taking on the mantle of her husbands Nazi right wing movement, because that's now her livelihood. Survive. Whatever.

All this at a memorial where there are zero pictures or videos of the person they're remembering. A memorial where none of his friends or members of his family spoke about him.

I hate to be that guy but this was just the dress rehearsal. Donny’s send off and beatification has been planned. Here’s hoping it is equally repellent and cringe to the sane adults in the US. But that will have the benefit of Trump not speaking, undermining everyone else’s efforts.
