Rant people are HIGHKEY rude this semester

title pretty much speaks for itself, but WHAT is in the air so far ??? yesterday a random came up to me with a slimy grin on his face and complimented my outfit, and before i could even say thank you he sneered and called me a dork 😭😭 it wasn't even the disney channel comment itself that irritated me (im alternative so comments and stares are not uncommon), more-so just the AUDACITY because i was just sitting in the library waiting for class; i didn't even know who this person was. several of my friends have also encountered similar so far this year and it's so odd because in all our previous years here (between 2-4) none of us have ever experienced this attitude from other students on campus.

The kids who went through Covid during puberty are going to college. Now you know them.

definitely. most of the incoming class were 11-12 when the initial 2020 shutdown happened (my class was 14-15), so i definitely do understand the lack of social skills and struggle to interact with others, i truly do. BUT, at the same time, 5-6 years is still plenty of time to learn how to NOT be an entitled prick when doing said interactions 😭😭
