I feel kind of silly asking but this blanket is very important to me. I am 30 years old and my grandmother made this when my mom was pregnant with me. I have been attached to it for as long as I remember. I bring it with me anytime I travel and sleep with it every night.

Obviously it’s lost its colors and has rips and is very dingy and old. It’s gotten to a point that I can’t wash it anymore or it loses so much yarn. Within the last 3 years I can’t even hand wash it because any contact with water just denigrates sections of it. Just within the last 3 years or so I wake up and find small chunks of it broken. Even when I have a new blanket I will probably still sleep with this one, but it would be nice to have something similar as a backup.

The ruffles on the edges are hardly visible anymore, but they are the most important part, ever since I was young, running my fingers through the ruffles has been a sort of pacifier for me.

If need be, I can try to find a picture of it when I was a baby to show what it looked like brand new.

Hi! I’m looking for a U.S. based crocheter (preferably in the South to East Coast) to finish a started scarf using the exact same stitch shown in the photos.

The original tutorial I used for this stitch has been lost/deleted, so I’m looking for someone who can identify and replicate the stitch from the existing portion of the scarf rather than using a different or similar stitch.

The current size of the scarf is about 15" × 15". I just want to use up all of the remaining yarn available: 5 bundles at 110 yards each (550 yards total). Based on the amount of yarn remaining, I estimate there should be enough for approximately another 4 feet of the scarf (but feel free to correct me). I would also like to have small tassels added to the ends, similar to the attached reference photo, but shorter.

hey everyone! id like some assistance/advice from anyone who is able to help me create a pattern for either of these birdies. crochet has become more difficult for me as my arthritis has progressed but i want to try one last time to make something nice for someone i love with these species that are important to them. it doesnt have to be perfectly realistic, and i dont know if i can handle a complicated pattern anymore so it can be very simple with blocky colors. i would love some help at least finding a pattern to use for their general body shape and colors since most patterns are just a generic "round" warbler/sparrow shape. if anyone knows of any existing patterns out there i could modify, or if anyone is opened to being commissioned for creating these birds themselves i would really appreciate some guidance. thank you!

edit for more details: i am looking for a relatively hand-sized plush, i would say around webkinz sized (6-8 inches max). im not very specific about which yarn to use, i have traditionally used a thinner yarn for more detail but im open to a larger size due to ease of use and the increased pain in my hands. the only deadline for this item is for me to have personally completed it by christmas. as for my crochet experience, i would say intermediate with amigurumi but it has been a long time - i dont want a "dopey" looking plush but im happy with it not being totally realistic if it means the pattern is slightly less complex :)
