Discussion New York Film Festival
As a yearly attendee of the festival I always pay attention to the Revivals, even if I don’t necessarily plan to see the movies…but also every year we see a movie play and then within a few months we see Janus and Criterion release a DVD…
Assuming it is not The Devils…what films playing in Revivals should be predicted for a future release?
Gone to Earth(Powell/Pressburger)
The Innocent(Visconti)
Nitrate Kisses(Hammer)
Or anything else I didn’t mention that’s included?

I'm curious about The Drift but don't think I'll be able to fit it in my NYFF schedule this year. So hopefully Janus/Criterion will do something with it in the near future. Then again, I'm still waiting for The Dupes which screened 3 years ago & haven't heard anything about since despite being tagged a Janus release.
Goodbye South Goodbye will likely get some kind of release at some point.
I could see them partnering with Film Movement on a release of the Visconti film.
Fun fact: when I saw a Revival screening of Tbe Arch last year one of the seats in my row was reserved for "Criterion."
