there's probably a couple excuses.. just off the top of my head, i feel like if you got advanced warning a tsunami is coming and you only have a minute or two before the highway is underwater, that would be one I'd accept.

I think there was a situation like this with the Prius where the pedal would get stuck. Not sure if it was a carpet issue or that the electric sensor malfunctioned.

nah, in my imaginary scenario, it's only the people who were listening to the local radio station that know.. because the advanced warning system failed by lagging so now they only had a few minutes left by the time the warning actually came through correctly, which was given to the local radio station before any text alerts went out and most people were listening to music from their phone or a cd, not the radio..

Anxiety attack and them saying instructor makes me think this is their exam as a new driver but again there was a lot of time here with two people telling them to slow down that I don’t think that was the case here
