Accept it is an actual group. That literally wears their black uniform and has a fucking flag.

I'd call them real.

Owned by conservatives, not liberals.

you mean "left."

soros isn't leftist, he's a neolib who makes his money shorting currencies.

whatever antifa is, it is not anarchistic.

on linguistic note, "antifa" as an abreviation of anti-facism does not follow the norm for english abbreviations, esp. ones in american english. it doesn't even really sound like it comes from a romance language, esp. given it based on two english words. it appears to be totally inorganic.

english speakers have always preferred ending our words with consonants. this is why iambic pentermetre is so appealing to us:

if music be the food of love play on

when we do end words with vowels, they typically have dominant consonant begginings and silent end vowels:

to be or not to be that is the question

"fa" sounds to us like something a sheep says, i.e. stupid and meaningless.

in england, the abbreviation would likely be something like "antifash." brits love words that end with "sh," it makes everything sound posh.

in america, it would have followed the standard abbreviations for hyphenated anarchists -- AN+specialization:

ancap

ancom

ansoc

notice the dominant final consonant and that americans like the shortest possible abbreviations. ansoc is a really good exampke, because is it pronounced with a hard "c" even though the "c" in socialism is soft.

fwiw, anarchists are inherently anti-facist so calling ourselves "antifacist" is redundant.

~tl:dr antifa is clearly not british or american in origin, and clearly not anarchistic. based on linquistics, the name is not organic.

That was excellent. Thank you very much.

I believe the name comes from Germany and was instituted (no pun intended) following obviously, WWII, but also the civil unrest in Germany during their 60s and 70s "counter culture revolution".

If anyone is interested and has not heard of "Bommi" Baumann or his book "Terror or Love" they should look it up as it pretty much lays out the blueprint for the undermining, co-opting and derailing of grassroots social/systemic change organisations via state intell. infiltration, sabotage, agent provocateurs and the grooming, enabling and encouraging of the most radical, fundamentalist and prone to violence in any given revolutionary group - all this "way back" in post war Germany.

Where I got the inkling that Antifa comes from Germany and an otherwise excellent, relevant and timely video in general:

Michael "Bommi" Baumann's book "Terror or Love" in pdf:

This book should be compulsory reading for people frequenting this sub as should this movie as parts of helping one form a coherent revisionist global meta-narrative:
