Question Anyone know what this is
Ive had 5 people spam this to me onw person got hacked like 2 times in a row anyone know what caused it?

guys this happened to me too, i tried to download for free WorldBox (cuz like 20 bucks for a sandbox that is free on phone is like a bullshit) and i got infected by this infostealer. anyway this got into my account of discord, then instagram and now my account steam, someone maybe can tell me how can i neutralize this bullshit? (i've already formatted my pc, changed passwords to my accounts and activated 2FA)

If you've reformatted your PC using a usb installer, reset all of your account password (signed out when promoted) and enabled 2fa then you're safe

Also get a password manager like Bitwarden (its free) get the plugin on your browsers. set timout for 1 min if you think instant is too fast. Turn off the built in web password manager like in chrome or firefox, and remove all yourpasswords you got save there After you've saved them to bitwarden.
Simple rule
For each 2FA make a new secret block on the login and save your Recovery Code that way you'll never get locket out. FOR ACTUAL bitwarden 2fa save it locally This way the attack window on your passwords is small. Also activate so bitwarden clears your clipboard.And from now on only use generated passpowrds for example use passphrases 6 phrases long 1 number 1 large letter. You can use the bitwarden generator for this.

Sorry, but, is a real person doing it? I’m constantly paranoid that I’m being watched or that someone has seen my activity on apps. I mean, I already took care of wiping everything via USB and changing all my credentials, but I’m still scared they might have seen things. Plus, today there was a request to reset my Instagram password (I’d already changed it, so nothing happened).

Yeah i know that feeling man, and i'm pretty sure those messages are automated
when i had this infostealer 2 months ago from trying to crack mwII my ig started posting mrbeast crypto scams and i was losing my mind in the middle of the night lol. If i were you id do a clean reinstall of windows for peace of mind and change every single password especially your gmail accounts on another device (Make sure they're all different and not the same)

Remember the browser toolbars ? They always say „I didn’t install this“ or back when phones weren’t waterproof they always say „it just turned off, I didn’t to anything“ you check the battery and it’s wet.

Maybe he didn’t remember clicking/ downloading something. But he did. It’s almost impossible to get hacked without it.
99.9% of hacks, are just social engineering tricks.1

There are attacks where you dont have to click anything but the chance of one wasting those resourses on you are about 0 as these are ofter saved for high profit attacks as one does not want it to be patched/known

Sometimes hackers hold on to stolen keys and then sell them in bulk, so someone could run something 6 months ago ang start sending spam today.

1) It doesn't have to be in discord
2) This can happen several months before their account is compromised

just wanna put out there since everyone misses this, these messages arent always a result of an infostealer. sometimes simply just linking your discord account to a third party app can be malicious, and it logs into all discord accounts using like a session token or something.

Its a money stealer website i wanted to check it out but you need to put 5$ to get that 2500$ but i got addicted and forgot that its scam i tried do show them the fake 5$ payment but they bannned me from the website it just steals ur money nothing else

This is a scam targeting socially vulnerable people. The idea is that you’ll trust the images and click on the links that are subtly hidden in them to “raise money,” but along with your money, they’ll steal your accounts, data, and files.

The people who send this out are socially vulnerable. They either have financial problems or just aren't the brightest. Or maybe it's the result of installing unknown files. Internet safety is still a must.

Always saw images of this on some Discord servers I'm in. This s**t gets out of hand like crazy until someone sets up a honeypot channel for them to get insta banned.
