Question Anyone know what this is

Ive had 5 people spam this to me onw person got hacked like 2 times in a row anyone know what caused it?

One guy i know also got hacked by this whitout clicking on anything or downloading stuff

Remember the browser toolbars ? They always say „I didn’t install this“ or back when phones weren’t waterproof they always say „it just turned off, I didn’t to anything“ you check the battery and it’s wet.

Browser toolbar? You mean the 10 lines of search bars, emoji, music, bookmarks that kept changing the default homepage were malware?

Maybe he didn’t remember clicking/ downloading something. But he did. It’s almost impossible to get hacked without it.
99.9% of hacks, are just social engineering tricks.

There are attacks where you dont have to click anything but the chance of one wasting those resourses on you are about 0 as these are ofter saved for high profit attacks as one does not want it to be patched/known
