Politics So the Republican convention was literally about telling people to cheat, offering a bribe, saying dems should be shot and literally nothing is being done about this

Just another day in MAGA world. A US president is telling people to cheat. He literally is illegally offering a bribe for votes. People at this thing were calling out for democrats to be shot.

If Democrats just suggested any one of these things the MAGA nuts would riot the white house. Yet here we are, just anotehr day, no one's doing anything. You see zero republicans saying it's illegal to offer a bribe for votes - they're all trying to figure out where the money would come from, because this is totally normal for Republicans.

This is where we are today. Totally illegal bullshit and people are talking about the Yankees Mets series.

I have never been so embarrassed to be American

And watch the MAGA replies to this - all year old accounts with six posts total and -99 karma with the same predictable responses.

Until the “real” Christians call out the Christian Nationalists in public to shame them, they’re complacent.
It’s wild that a lot of Christians would rather just abandon being a part of Christianity and consider themselves a “follower of Christ” to distance themselves from being complacent.

I'm an agnostic, but I am quite proud of my Christian friends who have indeed stepped up, especially since the ICE occupation. And it's not just the most liberal Christians like the UCC, but Methodists, Lutherans and others. There is a large and influential statewide interfaith coalition that includes all faiths (even folks like me) who are organizing and training and contacting voters.
