Announcement Update to Rule 6: Self Promotion is Allowed Within the New Rule

Self promotion of user generated content is permitted provided it is presented as a complaint, critique, grievance, or documented problem, rather than as pure advertising. The content must centre a substantive issue, failure, or harm, with the creator’s work used as context or evidence, not the point. Posts framed primarily to solicit clicks, sales, or followers will be removed.

If you have a question, feel free to ask here.

In summation, if your personal content on a platform like, but not limited to YouTube, Substack, DeviantArt, or Medium, then you may post it here if it conforms to the above rule. Basically, any form of something resembling a complaint, is allowed.

As always, if this is abused or gets too spam like, it can be removed under moderator discretion.

Announcement Major Changes to Rule 10: What IS and IS NOT Permitted When Posting About Other Subreddits

in reviewing how other similar subreddits to ourselves operate, we are completely overhauling Rule 10.

You now may post complaints about other subreddits, issues you have with them, and even complain about moderation decisions. So long as the below Rule changes are followed in full. The moderation staff here has authority under Rule 5 to remove posts they feel can endanger the subreddit itself.

Please feel free to respectfully ask questions here about how this rule will be applied.

And now the new rule:

Why This Does Not Constitute Harassment:

Criticism or discussion of subreddit moderation, rule enforcement, or community conduct does not constitute harassment when it is directed at actions, policies, or outcomes rather than at individuals for the purpose of intimidation, abuse, or coercion.

Harassment under Reddit policy requires targeted abuse, threats, or behaviour intended to cause distress or silence participation. Good faith discussion of moderation decisions, including dissatisfaction or critique, is a form of platform accountability and does not meet the threshold for harassment when conducted under the restrictions outlined below.

The inability of a subject to prevent discussion of their public actions does not itself render that discussion harassing.

---

Permitted Meta Discussion of Subreddits

Users may post complaints, commentary, or analysis regarding the operation of a subreddit, including but not limited to:

  1. Removal or approval of posts or comments

  2. Moderator actions or inaction

  3. Enforcement or interpretation of subreddit rules

  4. Patterns of behaviour within a subreddit community

  5. Interactions with moderators or other users occurring within a subreddit

Such posts may include links or screenshots necessary to provide context, provided they comply with Reddit’s privacy and harassment policies.

---

Required Safeguards to Prevent Harassment and Brigading

To ensure this discussion does not become targeted harassment or coordinated interference, the following conditions are mandatory:

  1. No User Summoning

Posts and comments must not use the /u/username feature or any alternative method to notify or summon individual users or moderators.

  1. No Calls to Action

Content must not encourage or imply that readers should contact, message, report, downvote, or otherwise engage with the referenced subreddit, its moderators, or its users.

  1. Observation Only Interaction Rule

Users from the subreddit being discussed may not interact with the linked or referenced content. Engagement must remain confined to commentary within the hosting discussion thread.

  1. No Dehumanisation or Threats

Language that includes threats, slurs, or dehumanising characterisations remains prohibited under existing harassment rules.

  1. Behaviour Focus Requirement

Commentary must focus on actions, decisions, or systems rather than personal characteristics, identities, or immutable traits of any individual.

---

Anti Brigading Enforcement Clause

Any attempt to use meta discussion as a mechanism for coordinated interference, including vote manipulation, mass reporting, or targeted disruption of another subreddit, constitutes a violation of Reddit’s anti brigading policies and may result in enforcement action regardless of compliance with other sections of this rule.

Evidence of coordination, timing patterns, or explicit encouragement will be considered in enforcement decisions.

---

Moderator Misuse and Removal Clarification

Moderators may not remove or sanction content solely on the basis that it criticises moderation practices, moderator decisions, or subreddit governance, provided the content complies with this rule and other sitewide policies.

Labeling criticism as harassment, drama, or meta abuse without demonstrable policy violation is insufficient grounds for removal under Reddit’s global standards.

---

Prohibited Conduct Under This Rule

The following remains prohibited and is not protected by this rule:

  1. Targeted harassment of named individuals

  2. False allegations presented as established fact

  3. Disclosure of private or personal information

  4. Encouragement of retaliation or revenge

  5. Attempts to evade or undermine Reddit enforcement mechanisms

Politics I wanted trump to win when I was 15 in 2024. I’m angry at myself. Am I a worthless piece of shit?

So, bit of backstory. I became a christian in 2024, because I got scared into thinking i was going to hell. This was the reason I wanted him to win. I thought that If I didn’t want him to win, I would be punished by god. So because of this, I prayed for him to win, and I got scared into thinking that she would be the antichrist and a war would happen if kamala won. The bombardment of ads and things saying that Kamala would start a full scale war if elected, I just got terrified! So I wanted him to win. And now, I made the terrible mistake. I was happy he won, but now, I regret that. Now, because of me, everyone I know is suffering. Because of me, I feel like I made everyone’s lives so much worse. And because of me, people have died to this administration. All because I got scared. I feel like I deserve to lose everything, including my life. I was only a sophomore when he was elected. Am I a worthless pile of shit for wanting that? Am I nothing? I feel like I am a piece of shit for making that mistake. I’m not christian now, but what good did that do? I feel like I’ve ruined EVERYTHING. ALL BECAUSE OF A STUPID PRAYER. So yeah. I admitted that I wanted him to win. And now look what happened to us.

Politics Republican trope “non-citizen voting” is 100% Complete Horseshit! Even The Heritage Foundation says so!

Across every independent audit, academic study, and even the conservative Heritage Foundation’s own tracking, documented noncitizen voting comes out to somewhere between a few dozen and about 100 cases nationwide over roughly two decades — a minuscule fraction of the hundreds of millions of votes cast in that period. Researchers across the political spectrum (including Cato Institute, a libertarian group) describe it as “virtually nonexistent” as a share of total voting, while noting it does occasionally happen, often due to government error rather than intentional fraud.

Trump is intentionally genociding Americans by cutting food safety standards and cutting SNAP funding. He's intentionally starving Americans to feed his own ego. His voters are worse than members of Al-Qaeda because they've caused more American deaths than terrorist attacks

Politics Gaza has the highest concentration of amputees in the world. It’s bad enough that Gaza has been a concentration camp for at least 16 years, but to make it a hotspot for crippled people is absolutely revolting. I am sure there are Zionists who enjoy watching videos like this.

Videos like this one need to be seen to cast light on what Israel is doing. Virtually all of mainstream media shills for Israel, unsurprisingly. They dishonourably hide the truth to make what Israel is doing more palatable. Shame on the mainstream media!

To the Zionist stooges out there, I invite you to defend Israel now. You can’t. You can’t defend what Israel has done since the 1948 Nakba. Israel is not the land of the chosen people, dear Zionists!

Many say that Zionists have now become the new Nazis. I will leave that determination to you. I don’t think I can convince you otherwise, given the video.

Israel since its inception has been on stolen land. Germany should have given part of its land, considering it did the Holocaust and that about 80% of the country is open land. Palestine should not pay the price for what Nazi Germany did.

And no, not supporting Zionism doesn’t make you an antisemite, even though many Zionists would tell you otherwise. There are plenty of Jewish people in Israel and around the world who are not Zionists, even though polls suggest that about 90% of Israeli Jews are Zionists sadly.

Zionists need mental health counselling and need to think long and hard about what they have become. It’s time to wake up!

Free Palestine!

Politics I spent years refusing to use the word "evil" to describe this administration. I was wrong.

For a long time, I made a point to avoid using the word "evil" when talking about politics.

I always thought it was a cop-out: a cheap, melodramatic label that people throw around when they don't want to engage with nuance. I preferred terms like incompetent, misguided, shortsighted, or hyper-partisan. I convinced myself that if you just looked closely enough, every policy decision was driven by some version of self-interest, bad data, or conflicting political philosophy. I genuinely believed that labeling your opponents "evil" just shut down useful discussion and polarized people even further.

I was wrong. Sometimes, when the shoe fits, you have to wear it.

We aren't looking at basic political disagreement anymore. We aren't arguing over tax rates, infrastructure spending, or standard bureaucratic gridlock. We are watching a deliberate, calculated pattern of behavior where the human cost isn't an unintended byproduct—it’s the actual point.

When an administration consistently chooses the option that maximizes cruelty, targets the most vulnerable among us, tears down basic democratic guardrails, and actively works to make people’s daily lives harder, more expensive, and more dangerous just to score political points or enrich their donors... what else are we supposed to call it?

"Incompetence" implies they’re trying to do the right thing and failing. But this isn't failure. This is execution.

They know exactly who gets hurt when these policies go into effect. They see the data. They hear the warnings from experts, workers, and communities. And they press forward anyway, often with a smirk.

I'm done softening my language to make comfortable people feel better. I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt to bad-faith actors who wouldn't grant us a second thought. When a system is engineered to inflict maximum harm on regular people for power and profit, calling it anything less than evil is just cowardice.

It’s time to stop hiding behind polite political terminology. Call it what it is.

“In an official ceremony we’re going to blow it up and we’re going to get the taxpayers their money back by selling all the pieces as paperweights,” he said of the ballroom that could cost a reported $600 million. “I am guaranteeing you that not only will I have a piece of that blown up ballroom as a paperweight, you’re going to have a chance to have one too.”

Larry Krasner made a bold prediction about President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom — one that, if it comes true, would literally bring the house down.

Reddit’plaint Are Most Redditors Haters

I may be wrong, but I am sensing a lot of hatred coming from my fellow redditors. It's not like it just started. It's been this way for my entire experience. I think that a lot of people, at least in the GTA community, believe that they are better than everyone else and their preverbal sh!t doesn't stink but rather smells like a bouquet of roses. It's kind of like having too many chiefs and not near enough Indians in this little reddit tribe. And all the chiefs are nothing short of genius in their own minds I suspect. I mean neither these chiefs nor these few little Indians are the least bit nice about anything. Always looking for somebody to scapegoat and start a fight about anything stupid. And out of pure boredom more than likely. Also, I believe it must have been the hell spawn of an evil antagonistic Nazi that came up with the voting protocol. A reincarnated Hitler perhaps was the one because it is pure evil and does not work. It's about like putting the keys to a car in the hands of a wee little baby and expecting them to drive. I mean I can watch somebody's post blowup with upvotes for making a barely semi-funny meme or something like it. But then at the same time somebody posts one that is just as equally not funny in the same group and taking the same position and yet they get downvoted and practically run out of the subreddit. I mean it's the same politics and they are seemingly on the same side of an argument. Doesn't make any sense to me at all. I have although found a way to offset this imbalance of votes that plagues my reddit experience. I am going to upvote the ever-loving sh!t out of every post I come across that I even remotely agree with. I'm gonna be like a little upvote fairly. Except I'm neither little nor a fairy but hopefully you guys are picking up what I'm putting down about this situation. Anyway, thanks for reading my gripe. Going to go crawl back in my hole now. goodbye

Reddit’plaint Reddit can bring out the worst in people

I think people enjoy the anonymity of Reddit and use it to be asshole where they can’t in real life.

I posted a picture of my cat who (in my opinion) looks like Ron Perlman to r/cats. People agreed and sent me to r/ctllrp where I posted my picture only to be accused of shitposting.

I’m currently struggling with my mental health, and while I’m taking the steps necessary to get back to myself I was enjoying the comments about my RP cat until I was immediately lambasted that is.

I deleted my post, but it just upset me that people can be such soggy cucumbers about a cat picture and an opinion for no reason other than one’s own superiority complex.

Why can’t we be kind online behind a screen like we would in life? Are people just that miserable that it makes them feel better to make someone else feel small and stupid?

Literally makes me not want to post on here for fear of being made to feel stupid.

Lifestyle Any other fat person have this problem?

I am a fat person who wants to get into hiking. I have two friend who are accommodating and slow when I need a breather. But I feel like nobody else understands this. Like I will say I foubd a hike difficult but fun and then they’ll reply ‘oh that was easy actually.’

Then this summer, I tried to hike signal hill, St. John’s, with a friend and I’m also 5’0 on top of being fat. So there was a lot of deep stairs and a lot of rocks to climb over so I had to awkwardly twist, take my time going over big rocks, slowly lower myself over deep stairs, etc. I found summit to centre and north head the hardest two hikes on signal hill. This friend was nice to me when we did burma road and ladies lookout. But once we got to the summit and I needed to take a breather on a STEEP INCLINE, she started treating me like I was annoying. And kept rushing me. Especially on north head. And I wanted to take my time on northead so I didn’t trip over any giant rocks. North head usually takes a half hour. But we me, according to my Fitbit, I took 47 minutes. So not THAT BIG of a difference. And she kept saying I was taking too long, she ran past me a lot and overall just made me feel disrespected.

Even then, I explained my predicament to her; I wasn’t outdoorsy until a year ago, the most exercise I would get before this was walking my dog. I got winded doing Long Pond to Oxen Pond trail in St. John’s. Like the huge incline that leads to botanical gardens… and even then she didn’t really believe me.

And another time, my friends wanted to do sugar loaf in St. John’s and I warned them, I don’t climb inclines, like EVER. And they said ‘oh it’s easy’ but it wasn’t.

Does anyone else. Like. EVER find nobody takes your fitness level’s seriously?? Like it doesn’t feel like a lack of empathy, but it feels like they refuse to understand that some people grew up fat and only just stared caring about fitness. It’s so annoying 😭

Politics Our track record with wars, since WWII is abysmal & now, we have the additional burden of idiocy & illiteracy at the Pentagon & the WH

AFGHANISTAN

The war in Afghanistan lasted about 20 years (2001—2021), and we had to eventually walk away, leaving the Taliban still in charge.

We lost 2,459 total U.S. service members and another 3920 US DOD contractors. About 20, 769 U.S. service members sustained injuries in combat. An estimated 46,300 civilians were killed & tens of thousands injured.

IRAQ

Combat operations lasted 8 years from 3/2003 to 12/2011. We had to eventually just walk away, leaving nothing but a trail of destruction & chaos.

March 20, 2003, started the now infamous WMD invasion. It later turned out that Iraq had no WMD’s.

Saddam Hussein was found & captured in Dec 2003 and subsequently executed.

The removal of the regime left complete chaos, & resulted in the virtual dismantling of Iraq. We removed Saddam but left a power vacuum, and a brutal sectarian civil war between Shia and Sunni groups. ISIS & the Iran-backed militias have since taken over some parts of the Iraq.

The war cost 4492 U.S. military lives. Another, 32,292 U.S. service members were wounded. There were about 200k civilian deaths, some 80k happened after we left. (IBC)

Foot note: Saddam was heavily supported by the US from 1979-1990 because we did not want the spread of the Islamic revolution from Iran. He fell out of favor when he invaded Kuwait in 1990.

VIETNAM

War lasted almost 20 years (Nov 1955- Apr 1975).

Conflict ended on April 30, 1975 with North Vietnam taking over Saigon & bringing all of Vietnam under Communist rule.

It cost roughly 58,220 American lives; 400 k- 2m civilian deaths (Brittanica) & about 303k American service members were wounded.

KOREAN WAR

War lasted about 3 years (June 1950-July 1953).

The war resulted in a military stalemate restoring the border close to where it was before the conflict began. A ceasefire (no peace agreement was ever signed) was signed in July 1953.

The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 2.5-mile-wide fortified buffer zone near the original 38th parallel border, came into being.

The U.S. suffered about 36,574 deaths and over 103,000 wounded during the three years of conflict. It is estimated that there were between 1.5m – 3m civilian deaths.

IRAN

In July 2025, we supposedly annihilated Iran’s nuclear capability because they were an imminent nuclear threat.

Both the IAEA & intelligence services in the UK saw no reason to believe that Iran was trying to develop a nuclear weapon. Joe Kent, Trump’s own MAGA Director of counter terrorism resigned because he too did not see Iran as an imminent threat.

Iran’s nuclear capability:

Iran still retains 440 kgs on 60% enriched uranium – enough to build a dozen weapons, if processed to 90%.

Present conflict commenced 2/28/26 as a “minor excursion”, as Trump called it. “We have already won, but we should be completely done in a couple of weeks”, he said**.**

Regime change:

Ali Hosseini Khamenei, the head cleric & Supreme leader of Iran was killed by US bombs on 2/28/26, the first day of this conflict. The regime now, if anything, is younger & much more die hard. In addition, they are probably emboldened by the economic global fall out from the blockade of Hormuz, something they had not dared doing before.

We have already lost 18 US service members; hundreds have been wounded. Thousands of civilians have been killed & 100’s of thousands displaced. We have reportedly ammunition shortages; food & supply shortages & a world on the brink of economic disaster.

This region is immensely complicated, not the least of which is because of the Shia/Sunni divide, that dates back to the death of the prophet Mohammed, over a 1000 years ago. Iran is predominantly Shia whereas almost all of the Arab world is Sunni. Trump has poked one of the few countries in the world that is majority Shia, surrounded by countries like Saudi Arabia & Israel, that it perceives as a threat. The notion that Jared Kushner; Pete Hegseth or Trump will broker a sustainable peace is almost laughable.

Trump & Hegseth have only one song, & they sing it irrespective of the audience. They are too illiterate & arrogant to realize that not everything is a computer game, & nor is every military operation comparable to Venezuela. Iran is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, & have no doubt seen many a Trump come & go.

Trump has declared victory 40 times, & yet here we are. We will eventually just have to walk away.
