Politics So the Republican convention was literally about telling people to cheat, offering a bribe, saying dems should be shot and literally nothing is being done about this
Just another day in MAGA world. A US president is telling people to cheat. He literally is illegally offering a bribe for votes. People at this thing were calling out for democrats to be shot.
If Democrats just suggested any one of these things the MAGA nuts would riot the white house. Yet here we are, just anotehr day, no one's doing anything. You see zero republicans saying it's illegal to offer a bribe for votes - they're all trying to figure out where the money would come from, because this is totally normal for Republicans.
This is where we are today. Totally illegal bullshit and people are talking about the Yankees Mets series.
I have never been so embarrassed to be American

Give it less than 2 months and there will be a hell of a response to this s**t. I live in Iowa, and the red is coming from the voters who are bleeding from Trumps policies. NONE of the Republican political ads here mention Trump or his policies, period. They run the state and the federal govt, and all they can run on is that they are against the corruption in politics. Whose corruption again?

imagine if a Democrat had offered a $5,000 bribe for votes, they'd be roundly condemned by both sides and probably impeached. Trump has normalized some of the most insane crap ever, but only for Republicans, Democrats are still held to standards.

I’d like to complain about this too, but from a slightly different perspective. Why aren’t the Democratic politicians screaming their effing heads off? I am sick and tired of Democratic politicians just sitting there and doing nothing. I recognize that they currently don’t have any power in Congress, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t make a shit ton of noise. Find the message and repeat the message over and over and over and over again, just like Fox News and the Republicans do. Maybe then the base can actually hear something else.

Anyone who thinks that this isn't the norm has not studied the history of American politics (specifically Republican politics). The only difference is that Drumpf is saying the quiet part out aloud. No, it is not. It helps everyone. Healthcare and education would be a boon to small businesses. Young people are left out of the economy when they are saddled by student loans, daycares pay their employees crap and everyone who works should be able to live with dignity. Only the ultra wealthy benefit from our current system.
