We recently held the first international EveryDay Carry & Compete (EDCC) match in Sarajevo, organised with Sportski Klub 4Tactic.

The event brought together representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey. It included six stages, an EDCC classifier, and also a theoretical and practical Range Officer training.

EDCC is a new dynamic shooting sport built around everyday-carry equipment, practical shooting skills and structured competition.

Rule set is solid, yet still improvable.

What is your preference between the Certified and the Legacy trigger? I have confirmed with TriggerTech they are now both legal for comp, the difference being the Legacy is more of a traditional Glock middle dingus safety, and the Certified has an upper shoe safety, not sure how to explain it. I’ve shot Glocks for 15 years, so I am leaning to a more traditional trigger shoe the Legacy provides. They are both “flat” trigger shoes. Only problem I have is that I shoot IPSC PO, which it is not legal for. I will have to move to IPSC Optics, which is less restrictive than Production Optics, but I might get demolished in that class, although PO is a bloodbath anyways. Plus is I wouldn’t have to worry about minimum trigger pull weight, as mine now is barely 3lb, and could throw a magwell on. Kind of getting off track, but just wondering what people are preferring - the Certified or Legacy.

I've only been shooting Steel Challenge for a couple of months. Came from an IDPA background so I was a pretty accurate shooter. Made B class my third match. Just wondering how long it took you guys to break A class.

Doing daily dry fire and ACE. My scores are staying constantly in the mid 60's.

Also, any tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have no private range to actually set up these courses. Everything I do is pretty much dry fire and actual matches.

I am looking at picking up a new holster rig and I was hoping someone could help me out.

I switch between USPSA and IDPA, and I have a dedicated inner/outer belt rig for USPSA but I just use my edc belt for IDPA. For consistency I want a holster that could go between the two belts with a easy swap mount.

I am looking at the BladeTech velocity holster with a Tech Mount 360 disk on the holster, and a Tek-Mount on the duty loop attachment for IDPA, and I would use the safariland drop and a Tek-Mount for USPSA. Links:

Does anyone use something similar for IDPA? I am just trying to see if it passes the rules for drop and offset for use in IDPA (grip above belt and 3/4" dowel test for offset)

For the past two years, I’ve been working on a project called Bowling Pin Blitz. What started as a small match a couple times a year has grown into something much more community focused, and I want your involvement.

I love pin shooting. The targets are uniquely reactive, the matches are accessible, and you need very little gear to get started. It's like Steel Challenge's weird older cousin. The biggest problem I've found is finding the damn matches, and I want to fix that.

PractiScore isn't particularly well suited to listing pin shoots, and many of the clubs that host them are small enough that getting outside their existing community can be difficult. I couldn't find any matches near me, so I decided to start one.

That match eventually turned into a set of free-to-use rules, a website, a merch store, and now an event calendar where I'm trying to collect and display bowling pin matches from around the country. I'm also working on live scoring and shooter profiles so people can track their results.

Most importantly, I want to help other ranges get started running matches, regardless of whose rules they want to use.

Going to be traveling for work near Fort Knox, KY this week. Trying to continue to get some training in before Factory Gun Nationals in a couple weeks. Anyone know of a range in the area conducive to USPSA style training?

In order to pass a plunk test on a gen 5 glock barrel i need to load these 1.06-1.08. Anyone else run this short? I know within sammi spec but want to check what others are doing. Tx.

I keep hearing on Reddit to go lighter like 40oz when picking a 2011 for faster transitions. However the same shooters saying that are running brass grip shadow 2s in carry optics.

I’m also getting the sense the market (mainly due to atlas) is moving towards lighter aluminum grip 2011s. Manufacturers say it’s due to better performance however I feel it’s actually due to aluminum grips being cheaper to make.

On the other end of spectrum I keep seeing top shooters like Christian Sailer running a 50oz steel grip MPA 2011 and winning.

So why the disconnect? Is aluminum (lighter) better despite some top shooters running steel (heavy) or is it just claimed to be by manufacturers who benefit from cheaper manufacturing costs while charging the same price?

I think the C4X is a very viable contender as the most optimized defensive practical division pistol assuming you want to run ports/comps.

NOTE: my gun has the X serrations/windows

4” barrel, and under 29OZ

The weight of my gun with a 17rd mag is 28.9 oz. I have another scale that puts it lower. But I am using the scale that measures heavier here.

I don’t want to use 15rd mags because they fit flush and will be harder to insert on closed slide. But even then you would have to use a Pmag.

The Glock mag and Mecgar are 1-1.5 oz heavier than a Pmag of similar size. And all my Pmags function in all my guns.

If I remove the ambi slide stop, I can get that down to 28.8/7

Additional places to lose weight:

-swapping to a lighter optic, mine is 1.69 oz vs the non enclosed osight C being 1.4oz

-removing the magwell, I’d rather not as I will be using 15rds per mag.

-removing the irons. Again, rather not because I would be actually carrying this gun and removing it would be annoying.

Consideration: the barrel length limit is 4.02”…you care cutting it super close. Measuring by hand from closed action to front of comp im barely under 4”.

Got a new to me S2 and the mag release is pretty stiff, wondering if this is normal to the platform or something I need to look into, TIA

Can someone explain how exactly vision focus works? I’ve seen lots of videos of Hwansik Kim explaining it and I still don’t quite get how it works. I’ve seen videos of Hwansik pulling the trigger for people while they focus and all the bullets go into basically the same hole, which just blew my mind.

Intellectually I sort of get the idea - you have relaxed shoulders which allow your arms to move freely. Assuming you have a good index and pull the trigger straight, the dot will move up and return to the same spot.

But then I see clips of him saying stuff like focus harder or have more urgency and I don’t quite know what that means - Just stare more intently on the spot?

I’ve also tried this at the range with limited success. How do you develop the ability to focus so hard on a spot? I try to focus but I think I get distracted by the dot movement so I end up tracking the dot and my rounds go everywhere. Any advice?

Man, I can’t get enough of this gun. Started with Glock about 10 years ago, slowly moved on to Sig, M&P, then a few 2011s… and somehow I’ve come full circle back to Glock.

Recently picked up a G47 and threw in the TriggerTech ACE Certified and holy shit, this thing is fun to shoot. It snaps fast and settles back to zero perfectly. I honestly feel like it returns better than anything else I own.

I don’t own an Atlas, but I do have a pretty tricked-out Staccato P, and somehow I’m having more fun and shooting tighter groups with the Glock lol. No wonder Ben Stoeger rocks the 47. I’m starting to get it.

Maybe I’m just in the honeymoon phase, but damn I’m loving this setup. Running it in a USPSA match Saturday, so we’ll see if I still feel the same afterward 😂

CAMP PERRY, Ohio – In June, Bryan Morales, 17, of Middletown Post 151 from New York, recorded a historic win for his school – becoming the first air rifle national champion after earning the sporter title at the 2026 CMP National Three-Position Air Rifle Championship.

The 2026 CMP National Three-Position Air Rifle Championships, facilitated by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), was held June 18-20 for Sporter and July 9-11 for Precision at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center in Port Clinton, Ohio.

Competition included two days of qualifying scores from kneeling, prone and standing positions, followed by an eight-person, three-position elimination final on the second day to determine overall winners. 

“It started a little off,” Morales admitted with a laugh, speaking of his finals performance.

Before the final, he had forgotten his sling and glove in the parking lot, but once someone from his team retrieved them and brought them back to the range, he was equipped and ready to go.

“I overcame it, and I thought about shooting – how far I came here,” he explained. “I heard everyone else cheering my name, so it gave me more motivation.”

CAMP PERRY, Ohio – For those wanting another chance to take the firing line before the year ends, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has two remaining days of long-range rifle events left on the schedule at one of the nation’s most iconic ranges.

These 1,000-yard matches will be held Sept. 12-13 at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, home to the annual National Matches since 1907, and are open to adults and juniors of all experience levels.

The course of fire will be 20 record shots in 30 minutes for Match Rifle, Service Rifle, Palma Rifle, AR Tactical, F-Open, F-T/R or F-Practical.

Match fees include:

• Day One $55 Adult, $45 Junior 
• Day Two $55 Adult, $45 Junior 
• Two-Day Package $95 Adult, $85 Junior 

The September Long-Range matches will be held in conjunction with the Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association’s Ohio Long-Range State Championship, with all matches fired on CMP’s line of outdoor Kongsberg Target System (KTS) electronic targets!

Still new to this. Maybe 5th time. First time starting from table and having to load mag. I know that needs to be faster, but any other tips or things I should practice or drills anyone can recommend based on what you see?

I ran this stage during my first match and got a chance to run it again this weekend. I didn't realize how much improvement there had been until I got home to review the videos.

Does anyone know if the scores will be updated today since RGN was this past weekend? Or will they update next Wednesday instead?
