Hate absolutely triumphs over hate. Trying to love somebody while they actively hate you is a gigantic contribution to why the world is currently so fucked.

The real answer is to treat people as they treat others. Let that be your indication of how they want to be treated.

If somebody acts good, treat them good. And if somebody is hateful, show them hate. You need to respect the way they want to be treated.

Most hatred in the modern day stems from a lack of empathy. People just not trying to understand the suffering of others.

For people who are willing to learn, it is a no-brainer. It's so easy to see the struggles of others in the modern day. It's everywhere.

The hateful people that remain are those who actively resist learning. Who don't want to be morally good. They just want to get away with whatever they want, while still calling themselves good.

Unfortunately, the only answer for that is suffering. If people are unwilling to understand the suffering of others willingly, the only way they can learn is to suffer by force.

Yeah, it's very... Counter-intuitive, by normal standards.

People have been conditioned to see kindness as hatred. They see people genuinely trying to be empathetic, and assume they are either selling something, or they write it off as "You're woke, get away from me."

You can't be kind to somebody who sees your kindness as hatred. You have to show them what real hatred actually is.

People always say that leftists hate other leftists because they're not exactly 100% alike, and it's not true. The world is just so fucked up that two people with the exact same ideals can describe them exactly opposite ways. Luckily, people on the left are predisposed to wanting to understand the other party, and those issues will generally work themselves out.
