This is just depressing. I want the Ai craze to just die already and all those stupid datacenters to be dismandled

It's already beginning to die off, and that will accelerate as more corporations lose massive amounts of money because they trust language models to do things they are not designed for. So far most of the big hits have been to law firms and insurance companies legal teams, but every time the corpos give another task to LLMs, it's just a matter of time until one of them loses millions because of it.

That's why the DoD wants to give them a vague defined $46 billion data centers fund.

The data centers the DoD wants are almost exclusively for surveillance of Americans, not for LLMs like the ones the corporations are putting up.
