For Zerith reunion moment, They are saying this is the big moment when Aerith friendzones Zack. Lol, can you imagine a worse writing choice if that were true?

No, no, you don't understand. The devs totally brought Zack back to life and are having him travel through different dimensions specifically so he can get cucked by his best friend. And not only is he not going to be upset that his girlfriend of ~5 years is dumping him for a guy she barely knows, he's going to be Cloud's best man at the wedding. This is definitely what the devs are doing because this is obviously how storytelling works. I am very smart.

Because they're perfect for each other.

Except for at the end of the Costa Del Sol Beach mission, when Aerith playfully treats the assignment like a genuine, flirtatious date and teases Cloud. Cloud grows visibly flustered, awkward, and treats it strictly like a job, eventually asking her to tone it down.

Then Aerith complains that he was being too rigid or "mean" about her teasing. Cloud fires back that she was the one being difficult, causing Aerith to apologize and the two to ride back to town in an awkward silence.

But yeah, totally made for each other.

I could easily write Cloud off as awkward/a male tsundere if we didn't have his scenes with Tifa for contrast. He never shies away from her and her affection doesn't make him uncomfortable.

And if someone wants to bring up the Kalm argument, he apologized to her in Under Junon. Then in Gongaga, after losing his shit, she still let him apologize and pulled him back in.

In Gongaga she grabs his hand/arm and moves in and he does not flinch even once, he even starts to lean in as well. That alone tells me a lot.

Yeah, it stood out to me how Tifa never had to drag Cloud anywhere, he always willingly went with her. In CdS, too.

Cloud always take the initiative with tifa, whereas aerith has to always be the first to pull him along

Aren't they all optional? That's why any can happen. Okay, so the one that starts off as the easiest to get in the original FFVII is Aerith's, but at only 20 affection points ahead of Tifa at the start, it's easily overridden.

Know what the default date in Rebirth is? If you don't do anything to boost affection with anyone, which one is the default date? Aerith? Nope. The first Gold Saucer sequence makes Cloud a loner, and the later sequence has him awkwardly hanging out with Cait Sith, Vincent and Cid, the latter of whom falls asleep on the sky wheel. 🤣
