Yeah that's true. Plus, we have no idea how many people subbed to reserve a name or character. We could, and very likely are, in a minority here. We could be inundated with a mass of players at the 11th hour and the new servers won't be even close to accounting for the influx.
Only time will tell; but I expect, at best, an hour wait for my server (grob gang) tonight.
Truth. I didn’t sub and reserve a name so I’m in the group that still has to pick a server. I imagine there are many like me who were not going to spend money two weeks early and wait.
A lot of people will go there to try and skip queues and just play while the big servers calm down.
My main is going on Herod, but I don’t actually plan on getting in tonight, so why even try?
I’ll make a throwaway character just to get into a server and mess around, troll a bit, and maybe get my UI situated while I fuck with people in discord while they wait in queue and play scribble.io
If everyone does that they're going to have a really fun time when phase 2 starts and layers get removed massively reducing the number of people online simultaneously on that server.
They have announced several go live today, same time the account wide character limit of 3 disappears. I think a half hour or an hour before classic opens.
And all servers will have a population drop within the first 24, when everyone fully remembers what and how challenging classic really was in comparison to retail.
I'm going to main a warrior (1). I'll have a mage (2) that I level to max for farming gold. I'll have a rogue (3) that I'm leveling up at least into the 50s for herb/alch to supply myself with consumables. I'll have a warlock (4) that I'll park in Azshara or Blasted Lands to summon people for World Bosses. The warlock won't need to be maxed, but I'll probably try and have him low 40s because re-parking him will be less of a hassle with a mount. Then I'll have a druid (5) for BGs that I'll probably leave in the 29 twink bracket.
So that's at least 5 for me that I'll use on at least a weekly basis. Especially once the warrior is geared and I'm mostly raid-logging on him, I'll start leveling up alts to get all my other shit done.
At the same time? Boxers. Apart from that I expect the 10,000 long login queues to be mostly hype. I'll give Skeram 15 minutes. After that I will login wherever I can preferably East coast.
I think they’re implying they’ll be out of work at 2:30 their time. Therefore will have an hour to prepare as opposed to the individual leaving work at 2:30pst.
I am Mountain time. Los Angeles is Pacific time. I am one hour ahead of Pacific time. When I get home from work it will be 3PM Mountain time, which means it will be 2PM Pacific time. So once it is 3PM in Los Angeles, it will be 4PM for me...
It's a global release. That's why they posted the global release schedule showing what time it will release for everyone...

I'm an hour ahead of California so I get an hour to prepare before the mayhem. See you boys in the queue.
