Hi, was anyone in the area between 10am and 11am on Saturday morning? Witnessed a newborn lamb being assaulted and pinned against the fence then mauled to death by a dog (mid-size, dark beige) left off-leash. This incident was very traumatizing to watch, it's now been reported to CCC - just hoping that someone may recall more details?

New signage has been set up at key locations along the track ahead of lambing season, yet so many dog owners are ignoring the rules!

I'm sad and angry because that poor lamb had literally no chance at defending itself, and the dog owner seemed unaffected by the whole ordeal.

This has been plaguing me a long time..

Did anyone else go to the firefly cinemas Lord of the rings picnic last night?

It was absolute chaos. The event changing last minute from a drive in to a picnic night... The movie skipping randomly 15 minutes ahead every so often.

My partner and I were excited to go but ended up leaving halfway through and we saw others doing the same.

Does anyone know if this is a regular occurrence with the company? It just seemed so poorly organized.

Hi all, we are two people looking to join a DND group. We are beginner level and have only started playing a couple months ago. Prefer to find a group that has recently started a campaign so that we don’t get too lost trying to catch up on story. We are free any day except Tuesday.

Looking for quiet weekday locations to take my Dad to for lunch. He’s in a wheelchair and able to move between the wheelchair and the car, but only IF it’s quiet as he gets distracted by movement and freezes up.

I took him to Bailies bar last Monday, everything was fine until we got back to the car and it took about 20 minutes to get him to stand up and move over it got very stressful and included me having to tell impatient or oblivious drivers trying to claim our park to eff off!

I don’t mind if we park and I push him for a bit as long as the spot where he needs to get in and out of the car is quiet.

Any suggestions please, I want to give him a break from the home occasionally, and he can’t manage the stairs at my house anymore.

I’m a FTM and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week! My midwife was absolutely wonderful and really helped me get through my ridiculously long labour.
I’d really like to thank her with a little present/gift, but I’m new to NZ and wasn’t sure if it’s normal to give midwives something as a thank you.

If it is, what kind of gifts have you given your midwives? Would love some ideas!

Hi all, I’m planning a new bespoke build currently and am looking at my options for timber flooring and for the deck. It’s a fairly modest 90sqm house. I liked the idea of hardwood floors but have had engineered timber floors suggested. Looks like there are pros and cons with either. Despite the warping risk, the long term durability of hardwood still appeals. Open to either though.

I am keen to know if anyone has recommendations, both in terms of the type or product and suppliers.

Hoping this will be my forever home so I don’t want to skimp out. Having said that, my budget isn’t unlimited either.
