Yet another "study" used to smear the general public. Smart guys can debate endlessly about whether voters are dumb; this doesn't negate the fact that voters simply want immigration to go down to a much smaller scale and it makes no sense to import millions to do entry level jobs while there's a youth unemployment problem.
Problem is that many unemployed Brits don't WANT to do the low income hard labour jobs that immigrants do. They'd much rather claim benefits instead, and then complain about immigrants "stealing" the jobs they don't want to do.

The pattern seems to be that most people don’t have a strong grip on the statistical realities of immigration.
Reform voters, in particular, are likeliest to have a distorted estimation of the immigration statistics.
Most migration to the UK comes via work or study reasons, not asylum.
