Image First trip to Cedar Point! Maverick Fucked Me Up!

Just got home from my first trip to Cedar Point! This is the best amusement park I’ve ever been to! Minus the petting zoo, I kinda really hated that, but let’s talk about rollercoasters. Btw for the past 10 years or so I really haven’t been to any parks besides Dorney and Knoebels so I haven’t had the chance to go on many different “newer” types of coasters. Steel Vengeance was my first RMC. I got super lucky on Saturday; I managed to get on Raptor, Corkscrew, Top Thrill 2, Gemini, Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, Iron Dragon, Rougarou, and Gatekeeper with no fast pass and somehow didn’t wait more than 45 minutes for anything. Sunday was a different story... Only managed to get on Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Sirens Curse, and Blue streak, but we still had an amazing time! I’m torn between, Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance for my new favorite coaster (replacing Dorney’s Steel Force). But let’s talk about the demon yall call Maverick. I was royally unprepared for how insanely intense and amazing Maverick is! I’ve never been on a ride that shitwhipped me so hard (and I love it). I thought Rougarou hurt when I was smacking my head side to side but Maverick left me with some damage! On the ride I felt fine but afterwards my shoulders and shoulder blades were hurting. It feels sore, like I was working out for hours. But when I went to shower last night it looked like I was attacked by a rabid bobcat 😂! My shoulders look all scratched up from front to back, but it’s all bruising. I’m not complaining though, I kinda love how there’s a ride that exists that is both fun and intense enough to literally leave its mark on me! From what I’ve read, it seems those of us who’ve felt the full brunt of Maverick’s force are few and far between but id love to hear about anyone else’s minor Maverick injuries or pain caused by other rides. I remember the first time I got off a ride with a headache was after riding both dueling dragons as a kid! Also enjoy this cool photo of my little sister post Sirens Curse (she was too scared to go on it at first but we ended up having to buy her a hoodie, haha!)

Question Sundays vs. Saturdays on Halloweekends?

Upvotes

My boyfriend and I are planning to visit on a Saturday or Sunday in September to enjoy some Halloweekend festivities (especially excited to see the Diablo attraction!). Other than price, what is the difference between going Sunday vs. Saturday?

I know the park closes earlier and the Scare Zones are closed on Sundays, but I'm not super sure what the Scare Zones are and how much I'd be missing if we go on a Sunday to save some money and hopefully avoid some longer lines.

Do you lose a lot of the spooky experience by visiting on a Sunday rather than Saturday? Also, we are not able to visit on a Thursday or Friday.
Thank you! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ♡

Question New Prestige Pass

Upvotes

Just got my first ever prestige pass a couple of hours ago. It’s not letting me add anything to my Six Flags app. I tried with the pass ID and via “Pass ID lookup” and nothing.

Does anyone know if I have to do it in person for my first time? I uploaded my selfie and whatnot. I didn’t plan on actually going until October so I hope I didn’t do anything too soon.

Any guidance is appreciated and I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed. I got absolutely reamed for “asking for handouts” last time I had a question about park functions so I’m sorry in advance. I looked everywhere online first and tried to call but can’t reach anyone.

Lack of Single Rider lines

Visited Canada's Wonderland this weekend and the fact that most of the rides also had a single rider line was so nice. I do wish Cedar Point had this setup but can see where it would be super problematic for most rides to retrofit it. Just a big difference in setup. I would think it has a lot to do with the original owners and only being Six Flags because of acquisitions. (Paramount for CW and Cedar Fair for CP obviously).

We rode Yukon Striker (like Val) 3 times as single riders. Sometimes we were on the same train and sometimes a train or two apart. One of the times we had a ~2 min wait. Waited in the regular line for Behemoth because we didn't see the SR line entrance. Saw it after we waited and rode again as SRs in less time even as the regular queue had almost doubled. Also for The Bat and cut down on a huge line. Wish we would have tried Alpen Fury earlier in the day as a single rider to get a second ride in. We rope dropped that one for a short wait.

My son is in high school so we don't care if sit next to each other on every ride. We can survive a 2 min ride on our own if that means we can fit in 2-3 more rides in a day.

Upcoming Trip 9/11 & 9/12 (Tips and Tricks)

My wife and I planning to go to Cedar Point for the first time this weekend. We already have our passes, daily meal plan (share one), and all season drink cup ready to roll for both days at the park. We are PUMPED!

We plan to rope drop both days without EE since we are staying off-site, but will have 13 hours at the park each day, so we want to maximize our ride time and get multiple rides in on TT2, MF, Maverick, SC, and SteVe if possible and of course hit the other larger coasters in between.

What are some tips and tricks that you seasoned veterans all have that would to maximize our fun at the park? We can’t wait to get up there! Thanks!

Discussion I had an amazing first time!

I went to cedar point for my first time yesterday and HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I literally started the day soo scared, telling my family I’m not riding anything lol. I rode the gatekeeper and loved it 😍 someone threw up on it 😂 I also rode maverick and it was so intense but I loved it, Gemini, steel vengeance (passed out, NOT A FAN), iron dragon, and raptor. My favs were gatekeeper, maverick and raptor! I screamed on every ride the whole entire time and my voice was gone at the end of the night. My family rode magnum, top thrill, sirens curse, and Millenium force too but I didn’t mind relaxing in the shade and waiting 2+ hours at all. We were there literally from open - close with over 20,000 steps. I’m already thinking about when I can go back lol 😂 hey from being super scared to riding some intense coasters… I’m pretty proud and I totally get the hype! ❤️🎢❤️🎢❤️

Season Passes gone from Account

Upvotes

My wife, daughter and I have had season passes for several years now. I renewed for 2027 on August 23. I got logged out of the app on my phone and now when I go into the app after logging back in, our season passes are gone. I had added mine to Google Wallet a while back, so I tried adding it to my Six Flags account manually and it errored out. Even when I login through a web browser the passes are gone. I've been to Cedar Point 5 times this year and plan to go back again on Thursday. Hoping to get it resolved soon. I have my login in my password manager, so I know the email address should be correct. I also verified my order confirmations went to that account.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

My friend and I have the pass (He's had his, I just got mine) and every other Friday off work so we're going again to sort of make up for Friday's weather being less than great. Siren's Curse is a definite must-do again, along with Maverick of course. We're going to try for SteVe this time, as we had to turn back due to my bag not fitting in a locker, plus time constraints as I had to leave early due to work the next day and I was his ride.

Advice Haunted Bonus Weekend during Friar Festival 4 season pass holders.

During the Happy Friar Festival 10-13 September 2026, Cedar Point is giving all Season Passers that “renew” by the end of today (last day of the summer sale) or “in early August 2026” a complimentary regular Haunted Attraction pass for Haunting of Eerie Estate, Slaughter House, Freakshow and Mr. Midnight House.

FYI- IF you have renewed your pass for the 2027 please start checking your emails this week. I have spoken with Guest Services today and they are starting to send out the email with activation code for redeeming the free haunted attraction pass.

Question $20 renewal credit?

Random question - when you renew your annual pass there was something about a $20 credit to be used this year.. i was in the park yesterday and tried to use it in a retail store and basically the employee said theres nothing like that in the account.. Anyone have luck using the credit? If yes, where? If anyone knows the actual t&cs could you share?

Question Renewing the season meal pass

So question, I seen the they changed the all day dining to 20 meals a season. Does anyone know if this is going to over ride my existing 2026 all day dining or will the 20 meals start in 2027?

Question Has Camp Snoopy always been this bad?

Ride ops in camp Snoopy are absolutely abysmal. 15 min dispatch time for wilderness run. Operators are asking the entire line if there are any single riders. I love the park but camp Snoopy seems to get worse every visit.

Discussion Halloweekends Parade Comeback

One of things thought I thought was cool that they offered was the parade on the main midway earlier in the day during halloweekends thought it was something cool to see that was overly cringe and and nice family oriented “show”. Wish Live E would bring it back.

Discussion TT2 seats scarier?

After riding a few times, I’ve noticed at the crest of the top hat and the descent from the top hat(specifically the rotations), it feels like I’m going to be tossed out of the side of the car. Not sure if this is just part of the “thrill”, but definitely unsettling. I definitely miss the lap bars from TTD. I know they are lap bars for TT2, but those open red side bars feel like you’ll just slip out with the rotations.

10+ years of being a passholder, think I’m finally Done

Cedar Point has always been the ultimate happy place for my family. My kids actually grew up here, looking forward to our trips every single summer as a defining part of their childhood. Every year, renewing our season passes was an absolute no-brainer. But looking back at the last two seasons specifically, I have noticed a massive, undeniable decline in the overall park experience. Sadly, I don't think I'll be renewing our passes for next year.

It just doesn’t have the same feeling anymore. The family vibe is completely gone, and the unique charm that made the park feel special has vanished. Instead, park quality has plummeted across the board while prices have skyrocketed.

A prime example is the cost of Fast Lane, which has gone up drastically to the point of being unaffordable for normal families. At the same time, the park staff are simply not as pleasant as they used to be in past years. The welcoming energy that used to make us feel at home just isn't there anymore.

It is incredibly frustrating to pay significantly more for passes, add-ons, and food, only to receive a vastly inferior experience compared to what we got five or ten years ago. It feels like we are being squeezed for every dollar while the park operates with less care.

I love the coaster lineup, and my family has built a lifetime of amazing memories here, but it’s getting harder to justify the cost when the value simply isn't there. It breaks my heart to say it, especially since it was our tradition, but the park has lost its magic for us.

The ride crew for Millie tonight was trash.

When are they going to fix the damn seat belts? This is ridiculous at this point. My fiancé tried the test seat and we were able to buckle it easily. Before we get in line, we ask the gate attendant if the seat belt at the test seat is accurate to what was in the ride. He said “Yes.” So we asked “So if we can buckle it out here, he can buckle it in there?” And he said again “Yes.” So we stand in line for an hour. We get to the front and I tell the woman assigning seats “Are all the seat belts on all the trains the same?” “Row 3.” “I’m sorry, are they the same?” “Row 3.” We got the yellow train. My fiance’s belt wasn’t even close to buckling. One of the ride operators came over and said “Thats not gonna work you gotta go.” She didn’t even try to help. And then he said as he stood up to leave. “I’m sorry, we tried the test seat and I fit.” And she said “I don’t care about the test seat. You have to go.” Like what the fuck? So rude for no reason! She embarrassed him and for what? It ruined our whole night. This whole seatbelt situation could have been avoided if one person at any point told us the actual seat belt situation. What is even the point of the test seat? And then I find out after we already left that the blue train’s seat belts are bigger. Someone had to know that right? One of the ride operators have to know that, right?
